This was not as expected. The room was fine though not like the pictures. The hall was packed with walkers boots drying off on the floor and hanging from the lights. The breakfast reminded me of a hostel. Toast, yogurt in the fridge and a cup of tea. Excellent position and the recommended restaurant close by was great. The place was fine just not as expected.

The property is old as expected, and I requested for 1st floor, but they still gave me the 2nd floor, which there is no elevator in this buidling, not friendly for femal traveller. The staff, a young lady told me, if I want to stay in 1st floor, there is 20 dollar extra! What the hell!

The down side is the Breakfast is very poor, in a hotel that costs $220 per night with taxes, its frankly unacceptable, Friday the hotel ran out of eggs ! So no eggs Saturday morning ( no one went out and bought some more eggs) Saturday morning no cheese either ? there was never any ham or cold cuts, only Toast and Jam, just not good enough. Hotel Marineau management needs a review and an upgraded breakfast program. Front desk staff available 24/7 yes, but sit there playing on there phones while the outside garbage bins are overfull and remain that way for three days, some work to be done on houskeeping here

The pictures are really nice compared to when you show up at a Motel , with your door that opens on the parking lot. My mistake on renting fast without looking up more the hotel before renting.

We checked in at 8h30PM. Staff was friendly and quick to check us in. Got to our room and it was 29 C inside (84F) - AC was not put on before our stay. Took over 4hours to cool the room down. I appreciate the fact that there isn’t any carpet. Beds were comfortable. Pillows not so much.

The rom was clean, but they don’t have any shampoo and the soap was so little. The carpet in the stairs was really dirty. Because of that, it’s a 3 stars for me. We did’nt have our breakfast there, so no comments on that.
