If you’re looking for a house with history, look no further! Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1820 by John Ballon, a free man of color, the history of Freeman’s Cottage is detailed in the book "Savannah’s Little Crooked Houses: If These Walls Could Talk," by Susan B Johnson and published by the History Press, 2007.

Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and features on-premise parking and a secluded garden patio. The beautiful wood used in the living area makes the space warm and inviting. Open to the kitchen, you’ll never miss a beat of the conversation. Enjoy a home cooked meal or leftovers from one of Savannah’s many fine dining establishments in the sunroom, where you’ll enjoy a view of the secluded garden patio. The full bath has a walk-in shower and large, wooden vanity. The bedroom is located upstairs, and has a queen sized bed you can relax into after a busy day of exploring.

Excellent location, we were able to walk to everything. The cottage was very clean and the back private patio was perfect for our 2 dogs. It does have steps to the upstairs bedroom that had nice lighting after dark. Very cute place.

Loved our stay here! Perfect walking distance to everything. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the little back patio space. The stairs from the bedroom down to the bathroom although very well lit were a little steep and we as people in our 60s had to be careful! So take note! Highly recommend for almost everyone

When you step inside this beautiful cottage, it is impossible to not LOVE while being transported back in time! The quaint and authentic feel are excellent! It was immaculately cared for, clean, and is walkable in the north historic district to River Street and E Broughton Street shops and restaurants. Next time we are in Savannah, this is at the top of our list!

This was an amazing find! Not only was the cottage adorable and historic, it came with a sweet little enclosed patio that we could enjoy along with our dog. There was a dedicated parking space for us too! It was quiet and less touristy on Warren Square as well.
