Old style fully and recently renovated traditional cave, in a well- hidden peaceful canyon in Emporio village of Santorini. Experience living in a Cave, leading an agricultural life, hearing nature's sounds, being 10' min away from the beach!
The Cave was originally a winery which was renovated in 2004 by the owner and architect Babis Chiotis. Turned it into a beautiful relaxing place with a special 'aura', ideal for those who seek peace of mind and privacy, fully equipped with modern equipment and facilities. A “home atmosphere", enhanced by the smell of fresh vegetables and seasonable products from the local community. Experience what is like living in a traditional winery restored to perfection using traditional and ecological materials to accommodate the needs of a modern vacation house.
An atmospheric cave, where the walls have been refurbished keeping the ideal temperature both in summer and in winter time. The house keeps a very comfortable temperature all year round. It has recently been restored with respect to the unique local architecture and has been provided with the basic kitchen supplies and cutleries and a fridge. There is also a dining table and of course you can also enjoy your meal at the terrace where you will find table and comfy chairs. The terrace is ideal for having breakfast, sunbathing, having dinner under the stars and tranquility of the area. The courtyard is also ideal for children who can play with safety. The build- in beds and the modern styled furniture combined with the antique objects, give a balance to the place..Sleep in nature! The house can very comfortably accommodate up to 4 persons; there are two double beds (160X 200cm).
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fenced private yard, and a coffee maker. Housekeeping is available on request.

Characterful secret hideaway

We love places with a bit of character and this has loads of it! Charming accommodation with a roof terrace with spectacular views, a lovely breakfast delivered to our door, and a very communicative and helpful host. One tip: don’t try and drive there yourself unless you’re very confident! We were glad to be delivered to the door by an extremely welcoming and knowledgeable driver.

Emporio Cave

The accommodations were just what I expected and the host couple were very responsive and helpful during my stay. The owner, however, should suggest to people up front that, if they rent a car, it should be the smallest one available. The roads are the narrowest I have experienced (side mirrors have to be turned in) and I scratched my rental car on a rock jutting out of the corner as I tried to get up the drive to the parking area. The public parking was quite a distance away and this impacted on my ability to sightsee and to meet friends. Also, I incurred a 300 E expense to the rental car company.
