We loved staying at La Maltese. We had a room on the Caldera side with a view that was breathtaking. Our room had private terraces and a private pool. We loved it there and ended up spending a lot of time in our room which felt more like a townhouse. For what we say, staying on the other side of the property was probably a very different experience. If we were to go back we would book exactly the same room. Alex the property concierge was wonderful!

The rooftop wading pool was a real highlight. Itā€™s not big enough for swimming, but perfect for a quick dip between lunch and drinks. Tables were free to use, while loungers (ā‚¬20 minimum spend for two with an umbrella) and cabanas (ā‚¬40, which easily covered lunch and a couple of drinks) were well worth it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast had plenty of variety, and the location was excellent ā€” just a 10-minute walk to the metro, with a direct line to the airport and easy access to the Acropolis and Ermou Street, only three stops (about 10 minutes) away.

The view was amazing. While I enjoyed the music from nearby restaurants I could see it not being to other peopleā€™s liking or even disruptive if you go to bed early. The condition of the room was decent, but the TV didnā€™t function, and the WiFi was spotty. Also, be aware that the shower water takes several minutes to warmup.

We stayed here after getting a last minute deal and were so impressed with everything. Our room was upgraded, everything was modern, clean and new. The staff were friendly and super helpful. The location meant we were away from the crowds of Fira but close enough that we walked everywhere.

Location is just perfect and the service was topnotch. The staff made us feel so special and well taken care of. The views from the restaurant is to die for, no wonder why a lot of tourists in the island actually go out of their way to visit the area and the bar for the sunset. One of the best properties we have stayed not just in this trip but ever, and we have been travelling for many years. Brilliant location, amazing sunset, great facilities and amenities. Staff starting with the manager Costa and everyone that works there were simply brilliant! Lots of food options and things to see nearby. Pool and Buddha bar were terrific and so was the American/continental breakfast. We are so glad we decided to stay here rather that the busy terrible mess that is Oia. Highly recommend staying here, canā€™t wait to come back!

It was one of the best stay for me. The room is clean, big comfortable and quiet, plus we had a little pool on our balcony just for us. The view from the restaurant is to die for. It is literally breathtaking spot and we just never got tired of having an amazing breakfast there five mornings in a row! The staff are very nice, friendly and competent. You can ask them any questions they are always willing to help. Definitely recommended
