Stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was a dream! Stefano and his staff did an amazing job making sure we were always comfortable and happy. They took care of everything from calling and making dinner reservations for our group to making sure we had transportation anywhere that we needed. The rooms and pool area were absolutely beautiful and well kept. Highly recommend this hotel!
Our family just spent 3 nights here in between runs in Athens and Crete. This hotel has it all-- amazing views and KILLER staff. We visited Fira and Oia while we we here. They were great but busy. If you want a chill vibe Homeric Poems in Firostefani is great.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Let me be clear: it's not a cheap hotel. However, after reading my review you should understand why. First, the location is great. You're right on the Caldera walking trail and are minutes from boutique shops and restaurants. All rooms offer breathtaking views and from what I can tell, have a private balcony where breakfast is served. You're also 5 minutes from the bus stop if you choose to go to or from Oia. Second, the room is amazing. Everything is spotless, clean, and in great shape. No box spring mattress, peeling paint, or pitted/rusty faucets here. The bathroom is great and the AC blows cold. And as mentioned, every room has a private balcony. There's a shared pool, which I honestly thought was a bit underwhelming when I compared it to some other hotels' infinity pools, but it's nice enough and offers plenty of seating and great views. Breakfast is amazing. You can pick between 3 options, or mix and match as you please. It's brought up to your room, where you can eat on your private balcony. We really enjoyed the breakfast each day and I find it a really good feature the hotel offers. The staff is amazing. Everyone was always available and willing to help. From giving advice on where to eat, to transportation, to helping with small but important items, (e.g. when you're traveling, where do you find rubber bands and a latex glove when you need it after cutting your foot? the staff took care of it!), to providing postage stamps. They also arranged a great catamaran tour. I can't say enough good things about the staff here! As for value, well, I do think it's a bit expensive, given that you can stay at other hotels for a fraction of the price. However, the location is prime, and service is incredibly good, so you get what you pay for.
We visited Homeric Poems in the middle of May and already want to go back. We arrived late in the evening and were so grateful the staff picked and showed us right to our room. We were welcomed with a "welcome drink", which we ended up ordering all week from the bar, just add gin :) haha. We couldnt wait to wake up and see the views, we were so excited we set our alarm for sunrise and it did not disappoint! The view was UNREAL. To compliment that incredible view, breakfast of your liking is delivered to your balcony every morning at a time you select. The most wonderful guys deliver it with a smile on their face, it starts your day off perfect. The location was exactly what we wanted. There are plenty of options within a very short walk, and Fira is walkable as well. We enjoyed the restaurants near the hotel, and walked to Fira to explore. The city was amazing, but our favorite part was the hotel and its staff. We spent most of our time at the pool or hotel bar chatting with them. The cocktails were Superb! Ive never met such warm people. The hotel and views speak for themselves, but the people put this place over the top. The day we left was my birthday and they helped put together a bithday breakfast for me. I was so grateful. Thank you Homeric Poems for making this the most wonderful trip we've ever taken. See you again :)
An amazing treat of a hotel. Designed on and in the cliff the design of the hotel is creative genius. Our room had its own cave pool, hot tub, sun bathing terrace and a balcony. We did not want to leave! The stunning views take your breath away and the location of the hotel allows you to soak them in from first thing in the morning until sun set. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and gave us some great recommendations for trips out. We would highly recommend you treat yourselves to a stay. A hidden gem!
We spent a week here after an amazing week in the Amalfi Coast. We were concerned that our expectations may be too high - they were exceeded. Location, views, staff, cleanliness, size of room etc. were all exceptional. I had returned after originally visiting Santorini 32 years prior & had a dream of returning & staying on the Cliff rather than as a backpacker. My dream was realised & exceeded my expectations thanks to location & such friendly & welcoming staff. If I ever return, I wouldn’t even look elsewhere - this is the best location, easy to get to & superb staff will assist with all queries & reservations. Every sunset here is as good as Oia, without the crowds, from your balcony or pool bar with wonderful service. Breakfast is served to your balcony & is very special. Book & you won’t be disappointed - it IS just like the photos.
We stayed At the Homeric Poems for 4 nights! It is Perfect! Spotlessly Clean, Perfect View, great location a five minute walk from downtown Firo!!! They will bring you an Awsome breakfast each morning which you can eat while looking out at the caldera!!!!. Very good a/c and amenities nice and quiet for sleeping!! Infinity pool is Awsome, the bar and restaurant are very nice. The best part of the place is the wonderful staff!!! To many names to mention them all but each and Every person from the check in people to the cleaning staff were excellent in their job, as well as exceedingly nice and genuine!! When I go back to Santorini I will stay again!!
Wonderful staff, incredible location, beautiful hotel. No wonder the reviews are all so good. It was an idyllic few days of holiday. If you're considering booking this hotel, then I have just two words of advice. Book it!
Just come back from 4 nights in this hotel and honestly... WOW, it's a family run hotel and the staff are just incredible; so attentive to your needs, so friendly, always on hand and gave 5 star service throughout. The rooms are beautiful, so clean, well designed, and we had a balcony which I highly recommend because you're in the middle of the island so you have the most perfect Caldera views with sunrise and sunset in the perfect location to your room. You wake up each morning with breakfast on your balcony at any time of day and a variety of options. This is the perfect location to stay in Santorini; Fira is a little busy and loud and Oia is almost like a desserted part of the island (perfect for touring for the day and the sunsets but I wouldn't want to stay there). This hotel is 5 minute walk from Fira and right in the centre of the island; so peaceful and quiet!! with little shops and food places right next to it. The staff, service, environment, room was perfect for our stay - I would highly recommend and will be coming back to this hotel for my next Santorini visit. You can have your own photoshoot from your room/balcony or from just outside the hotel as it's got the perfect caldera views and those famous white washed buildings and blue top churches. Thank you to all the staff at this hotel for an amazing time. My husband organised a cake and flowers to be delivered on our last day with breakfast and it was organised so well and with ease - thank you!
My wife and I just spent a few nights mesmerized by the incredible sunsets. Every room is located on the side of the Caldera. You can see both horns of the island and watch the drop in the horizon. Stephanos and Yannis greeted us with smiles as our breath was taken by the incredible views walking down to our room. Breakfast is served each day outside your room on your own private balcony. Be sure to get the Greek Frappe - we also did the 12k walk to Oia - be sure to walk out to Skaros rock - short little climb at the end but you’ll be rewarded with some great pics. While you’re in Oia- be sure to eat at Pitagyro to refuel. Close to the hotel (0.5k) - we recommend eating at Rare Meat- get the burger or the shortrib! We will be back.
