Not up to Marriott’s usual standards. No washcloths in the bathroom, no cream rinse, rough toilet paper. Nothing but a bar with hangers for clothes. When they say “junior” they aren’t kidding! Cruise ship cabins are bigger! Very Spartan. The breakfast was good except for the watered down juice.

Mixed feelings on a nice San Luis hotel

The hotel is located in an industrial area. That means that there is no other businesses other than factories. The only restaurant is the one in the hotel, so prices are high. Service at the hotel and restaurant were good. The facility is well maintained. We made our reservation with my phone app and we paid for a King size bed in a spacious looking room. When we arrived, we were given a cramped room with two single beds. The beds were ok, but that was not what we purchased. The AC unit was literally on top of one of the beds, making it extremely cold and uncomfortable. If we had the King size bed in the center of the room, it would have been more comfortable because there would be a buffer area between the AC return vent and the bed. When I asked the attendant why she change our reservation, I was explained that they market their units also, and that because they collect the cash upfront when they rent the units themselves, they give preference to those clients. Not very fair, but that was the way they worked.

I loved how clean and fresh it smelled every time we walked through the hallway to get to our room. Our room was very clean and had a great view of the city. The breakfast was very good, and the staff always greeted us and were very respectful. I had no problems at all in this stay. I will for sure stay here again next time I’m in S.L.P.

Location is good if your business is in the industrial area. The bad thing is that there was no water (faucet, shower, toilet) upon arrival (late afternoon). They only provide one small bottle of room water. When asked for another, they decline to give you another and instead recommend you use potable water. I've stayed here in the past but will no longer.
