The staff was friendly and attentive, and they even communicated via text messaging to check on my stay. I had asked for some different pillows, and somebody brought them to my room within fifteen minutes, which was awesome. The lobby was nice, spacious and inviting and had seating by the door so I could watch for my rides. The carpet in the hallway on the 5th floor was a sign that a remodel may be needed. It seemed worn and was rippling in some places. The room was clean and everything was fine, but the furniture and furnishings are outdated. Standard tub with shower curtain- no big deal compared to other hotels which are upgraded with walk in showers and glass doors. Location was pretty good. Everything in downtown seems kind of spread out, so some walking is necessary but I was able to find a local coffee shop nearby, along with some options for dinner. Beware the prices of the food items at Starbucks inside the hotel, the markup seemed worse than the airport.
