What I did not like about my stay at A&O Rotterdam City was that the lock for the bathroom has a gap meaning anyone could be watched whilst showering and/or using the toilet. This is a breach of privacy. Secondly, I feel the room could've been kept better care of, it attracted bugs and I have received multiple bites because of it. Something extra I want to add is that the elevator to the 2nd and 3rd floors, inside the elevator sometimes the button can take a few presses to flash and take someone to the floor number they chose. This can cause some anxiety especially since the same applies to the button that opens the doors too. This hostel is very convenient, but I feel it does need to improve. I would probably come again if I visit Rotterdam again but things do need to change.

Really scruffy place. Stayed in A&O hostels before in Germany and we're pretty good. Noisy road outside room had to use ear plugs. My rule is I ask myself the question would I stay here again the answer is no.

Hostel was busy with a wide range of age groups, plenty of space in 6 bed dorm, close to the Rotterdam Central Station and the city centre, breakfast was available but didn’t use it, cheap price for a one night stay

Very convinient

Had a good stay. The room was small but for one person was ok. Loved the water pressure in the shower. The breakfast buffet was very good. And it’s conveniently located 5 blocks away from Rotterdam Central.

I booked 2 rooms. They apologized and said the room was the same. As I walked away they noticed my brother and niece. I had to tell them I booked 2rooms. They looked it up and said that's ok. At least it was only 1 night. The room had 2 side by side beds and a set of bunk beds. I didn't know I booked a hostel since I had filtered hostels out of my search . A little loud at night, but that is expected.

The manager on duty (his name starts with a G, apologies, I am terrible with names) was excellent, outstanding, and just amazing! Every establishment needs someone like that gentleman, the world will be in safe hands, and a happier place.

All staff and guest were friendly, it was quiet at night which was good when we needed a sleep after being out all day. Would recommend if you are look8ng to stay not to far from Rotterdam Central.

We had a reservation for a double bed, a bunk bed with tv and we got a room with 3 bunkbeds without tv. The room was dirty (with fake eyelashes from the previous guest in the bathroom and chewing gum on the beds) We paid 200 euros for a night (4p).

A clean place.

A clean, tidy hostel. Super cheap room. My only complaint was that my roommates (in a shared room) all snored very loudly and came and went at all times of the night. I think some were Uber eats riders, so kept very unsociable hours. However, that’s not the fault of the hostel!

The hotel is good at the price. It’s clean enough. The hotel is not allow smoking but when you open the window, the smokes around you 😂😂. But at the price, it is very good. Breakfast at price 10€ but it’s poor and crowded.

Booked a twin room and was given a dorm room due to lack of availability. The room was unclean when we arrived, dirty floors and walls. During the 5 days the room did not get cleaned. Had to request clean towels as they were not replaced. Bitten by bugs in the room.

Although staff were very helpful, the wi-fi did not work inside the room and only worked in a very specific part of the lobby. Laundry room and shared kitchen were also not available despite being in the advertisement. The room itself was not bad - you get what you pay for.
