Parking was exceptional lots of room for a truck and trailer. Location is good and easy to get to. The room was very basic I would not recommend it to any one I know. Amenities that were advertised as included were not there. I was expecting more from a Expedia VIP location. The hotel seemed run down and not actively keeping up with appearances.

Extremely loud bar across the street playing until 12:30 at night. So loud I could hear over AirPods, tv and could literally feel the bass laying in bed and I was on the 6th floor. Then the loud partying continued, motorcycle racing, etc. The remodeling was poorly done ,ceilings patched and gross. No exhaust for shower. No help upon checking in, definitely no concierge. Looked good on reviews and pics but it’s a real hole in the wall. No refrigerator brought to room upon request, which was something that was advertised.

The Rushmore is an older, but still very nice hotel. It is located close to the downtown area with plenty of shopping and restaurants. The room we had was comfortable and had the standard amenities (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker). The breakfast was decent. It is located about a 25-minute drive from Mt. Rushmore.

Noise on top of noise

Construction demolition outside (right out our window) starting at 6:30am. Then there was the ice machine that everyone apparently also wants to use at 6:30am continuously…doors really need better soundproofing. And then there was the train and motorcycle noise. The staff asked us via text after the first night about our stay and when I told them all of this, they said, we hope we can make it up to you on your next stay. I reminded them we were staying 2 more nights…crickets. I’m not a fan of people just saying they’ll help make it right and then do nothing when you tell them how. Definitely would not stay here again.
