Great hotel for relaxation and family time! I stayed for 9 days with my husband and our 2 children (7 and 13). Property was always well manicured and clean. Pool water was clean and inviting. Food at Andreas far exceeded our expectations...everything we had was delicious! All service staff were super attentive...they anticipated what was needed even before we asked. Our room was always cleaned daily and our fridge was stocked with drinks. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay...book it, you won't regret it.

My family and I spent 5 days at Velas Vallarta. The rooms are clean, the food was good. I don't need fancy and the breakfast buffet was great. The fresh guacamole and tacos were yummy too! We were happy to spend every dinner at the beach restaurant. Kids loved the dessert bar and gelato. The flan was delicious! I loved starting off each day with yoga on the beach with Javier - even had whales a few mornings. The staff was kind at helpful. Shout out to Jacinto who took great care of us poolside! The beach was beautiful -not too busy and the waves were fun to swim in. Overall, a great stay. Gracias!!

Quiet resort and was not busy. It was mostly retired timeshare folks and young families. Staff was good. Kids club good. Food mid, no bar or lounge to get coffee or drink was the surprising part.

I really I’d recommend this property. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The grounds are well maintained and the property is beautiful. Nice long stretches of beach to walk, too. The rooms were quite spacious as well! Just a couple of suggestions for improvement … 1) Central bar (or two!) is very much needed. Somewhere to go after the sun begins to set to just sit and have a drink vs having to be at an actual restaurant. A lobby bar and/or an outdoor bar would be a perfect addition. 2) More food variety on the buffets. We learned a little late that ordering off the menu helps in this regard, but I think even just a few additions like more fresh fruit options at breakfast, oatmeal, and then more salad/fresh veggie options at lunch would go a long way. 3) When it’s time to remodel/refresh the rooms, the bathroom could use some work. It was VERY small. Especially for 4 people, but it would even bee very cramped for just 2. Again, I’ve stayed at many all inclusive in various parts of Mexico - including the Grand Velas - and this is an excellent options; specially for families on a budget.

Had a great stay. Beds were comfy. Food was pretty good, could be a little bland depending on what you order, all the classics were excellent. Property is immaculate. 15-20 minute cab ride to explore the Malacon. Make sure to enjoy that area of town. Room was spacious (2bedroom look off). The room did have a musty smell, however the cleanliness of the room offset that. I would go back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Make sure you catch some day trips with Valllarta Adventures, they were awesome. Don’t do the San Sebastián trip if your looking for tequila tasting, great host, just kind of lame. Vellas Vallarta was good for us, family with two teens. Everything shuts down at 10:30-11:00pm. It’s not a “party destination”. Which we liked. Quite every night.
