The host was most welcoming and friendly! The only amenities were ice, coffee and Wi-Fi. The room was clean, however, it was ready for a major upgrade. The wall sockets were all loose, the bathtub was in poor shape as was some of the furniture. For a budget price it was ok.

Spend a few dollars more somewhere else.

The place is adequately clean with a very nice front desk guy, but the very basic hotel is old, dated, and has too-noisy plumbing. The Wi-Fi is sketchy: constant buffering made video or TV impossible.

This is really no-frills. Not sure how the rating is so high here. Staff was nice. Free parking. Big fridge. Good wi-fi Place was clean enough, though old and outdated so it felt dirty. Spring mattresses. Shower did not work, or was super low pressure. Carpet old. Smelled of incense. Only coffee for breakfast. No hygiene stuff besides soap.

You get what you pay for

The price was right for what you get. It’s definitely a dated place in need of upgrades, but it suited our needs just fine. The wifi was spotty, smart TV worked about half the time (due to wifi issues), the plumbing is loud, and the furnishings are in need of replacement (especially the carpet). However, we just needed a place to crash at the end of the day, and the beds were comfy, the shower had great water pressure, the AC worked, and they allowed pets (brought our pup). And the gentleman working the front desk was super kind and helpful. But again, for the price, it was juuust fine.

Nice and friendly

Hotel is run by a mother and her son. Both are very nice and friendly. The mother planted all the flower pots in front of the hotel by hand which is very impressive. The son is very nice and can answer any questions about the town and can explain how to get the TV to work, since it was not that easy to figure out.

Best "bang for the buck" in the Royal Gorge Region. Unless you need tons of amenities, this is a good basic room for the night. A little worn around the edges, but a great value.
