The best place we have ever stayed!

This house has everything you could possibly need. The access to the beach is wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Everything is super clean. We will stay here every time we come to Jacksonville/St. Augustine it is so convenient to both places but it’s in a quiet area without all the hustle and bustle of being in the city.

Beautiful house in a stunning position

Stayed at Driftwood in December 2024. Gorgeous house in a stunning position right on the coast. The house was extremely clean and well appointed, with plenty of space for everyone. The views are amazing and it was a pleasure to sit on the outside deck watching and listening to the surf. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped to enable the cooking of Christmas dinner! We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone.Although the location is within an easy drive of amenities, it is 6 miles along a very long, straight road to the nearest supermarket, maybe another couple of miles and you're in the centre St Augustine. Wasn't an issue for us, but worth bearing in mind.

Charming, clean house, easy access to the beach, all the amenities you could want, conveniently located and a short drive to great local restaurants. Enjoyed our stay immensely!

Great Location

The location was perfect. While there may have been a beach issue in the past, there was a revitalization project a few months ago and that is not an issue. The road noise was not an issue. The place could use a good deep clean but was acceptable considering the turnover of vacationers on a regular basis.

Disappointing Beach

Nice little house, very clean and comfortable. Very low water pressure or only a trickle of water if a shower, dishwasher etc is running. Surf comes all the way up to the property so you can only access the beach when tide is out. Surf was very rough and we couldn’t swim any day during our stay. Lovey seating area out back and we spent most of our time there. Very busy road out front.

great location, nice amenities, comfortable furnishings

We only stayed a few nights but had great weather. We had dinner in St. Augustine several times ( Sainte George , the Floridian, and Metro Diner). All easy to drive to and parking in the garage kept us close to many places. We will definitely visit again for a longer stay. For those with children, there is a ton of equipment in the garage for surf play and high chairs, etc inside. Not our thing but good to know.

Million dollar view!

The house is really cute. Has a great beachy feel and everything you need to enjoy your stay. Clean, well equipped and communication with the owners was great. But THE VIEW…holy cow…just amazing!

Family Beach Vacation

Great location on the beach very quiet well equipped house. We had a great time you have to wake up early to watch the sunrise. The deck and pergola are great even in August. Close to old town and stores.

Can’t get any closer to the water!

Great views from all the sunroom and rear facing windows. Least amount of steps taken to get to the water. Many things left by earlier guests that are stored in the garage. Chairs, balls, boogie boards, etc.

BEAUTIFUL HOME

Most enjoyable relaxing vacation we've had in long time and much needed. The house is as the pictures say it is and very comfortable and up to date with everything. Having the beach right out our back door was a BIG plus and very private. Thank you so much and we WILL be returning and plan if available to make this our vacation home from now on.

Lovely Home With an Unbelievable View

We very much enjoyed staying at Driftwood. You cannot beat the view or the positioning of the house. We had never seen houses this close to the water! It was lovely and the owners are generous people, encouraging you to use whatever you need to make your stay better. We went in February so the beach was almost empty and it was very quiet. It is worth noting that the street directly behind the house is busy. We could hear the traffic inside the house. Also, it is hard to realize this looking at the photos, but the kitchen and the eating area are not connected. This is not a deal-breaker, but it was surprising to see that we would have to carry our food down a hallway and turn two corners to get to the table. Just worth noting, I think. We had an air conditioning issue while were at Driftwood, and David was on it immediately. I appreciated the care given to the issue being resolved quickly. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Driftwood, and would return. It was a good week!

Perfect Sequestration Vacation Location

Like most people this summer we’ve been locked down and thoughtful about where we go. We needed a location that was private and a little secluded with direct beach access. This house perfect for us. The listing is accurate, the home feels bigger than expected because of the floor plan and great windows. We particularly appreciated how well stocked the house was. We rent a lot of homes and often end up making runs to The store for sponges, trash bags etc. This house was fully supplied including wipes and cleaning products. The property manager was accessible and reassuring when we were worried about a tropical storm during our stay. The only warning (very minor) is the beach is full of shells at high tide so you will need water shoes till you swim past them. During low tide, there is plenty of sandy beach. Would def stay here again.

Great vacation

Driftwood is a great beach house to rent. It’s quiet and not a lot of beach traffic so you can let down and relax. The house is fully equipped with most everything you need. We will certainly rent it again.
