This hotel is next to a bridge and the road is heavily traveled. Loud trucks and cars. Room 204 was overlooking the busy road. While late night the road noise was ok. At 4:30 am and on the loud traffic resumes. I would not choose to stay here again. The room has a single ceiling light. No bed stand lights/lamps and no cell phone charging outlets near the bed.

My room still had crumbs on the counter when we got there and a couple stink bugs in the room (not bed bugs). Overall nice rooms, spacious, would stay again

The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is excellent. But my room was surprisingly dirty and worn. Music from outdoor entertainment on weekends intruded into the room. J. Ambler offers a variety of rooms of different quality located in various buildings on the premises. My recommendation is to avoid booking a room in The Barn building, the location of the restaurant and bar. Speak with the front desk first before booking a reservation.

Room service should not be delivered in to go containers and paper cups with plastic utensils at a hotel of this level.
