Bottom line: the place is a dump. Dirty floors, dirty stove, dirty nuke, dirty fridge, dirty counters, damaged doorknobs...just a shabby, ratty place. But that's not my complaint. When you go for cheap, you don't expect five-star lodgings. But THIS place... I checked in Saturday evening and was too tired to do anything but have a few beers and crash. On Sunday, I took care of business in town during the day then came back to my room and had a nice hot shower before bed. Come Monday, there was no hot water. I don't mean it was lukewarm; I don't even mean it was ice cold. There was NO water coming from the hot water taps - hot, cold, clean, dirty - nothing. I told the manager. "Yes, we're doing repairs it will be back on soon". But it didn't, so I went to bed. Woke in the morning and still no water from the hot taps. Did my ten-hour shift at my new job and came home...still nothing. I told the manager. "Just turn on the tap and leave it open for awhile". Okay. Got cold water for about five minutes, then nothing. Woke Tuesday morning, nothing. Did my shift, came home, no water from the hot taps. I told the manager's dude. "What room? I'll send someone over right away." No one came. Woke Wednesday, did my shift and came home to... You know. At this point I knew better than to talk to the manager. So I just stunk for a couple more days and then left. EPILOGUE: As I was packing to leave, another tenant asked if she could shower in my room before I checked out.

When we arrived (family of 3, with a 4 year old), there was food scraps on the bed, and hair on the bed and in the bathtub. This wasn't the kind of hair that comes from your head, either. There were wrappers on the floor, the headboard of the main bed was leaning over about to fall on the bed, there was white stuff on the table and chairs, and even with the door closed, the smells of several different substances being smoked was heavily prevalent. I went to the office and the employee on shift offered me new sheets but said that the manager wouldn't be in until Monday and the housecleaner wouldn't be in until the next day. There were no additional rooms to move into, so I returned my key and left with the family, heading down the street to Super 8, where for $20 more, the room was clean and comfortable.

I wasn’t expecting much for a motel in Mesa. The fact that the bathroom was flooded and the sink was clogged when I checked in was wild. The sheets and towels definitely didn’t look clean. Unfortunately I had a work event and needed to get ready quickly but I definitely returned my card after that 30 minutes and booked another hotel. If you could rent a trap house, that’s this place.

The rooms are definitely neglected. The first room I was in the sink was clogged when I got in there the toilet didn’t flush. The room hadn’t been clean. They just changed the sheets. The shower still had hair and soap and grim in it. My TV didn’t work. It was ripped off the wall sitting on top of her dresser. The front desk said they couldn’t move me until the next day. Then the next day they move me into a room that the restroom sink didn’t work in at all. The water wasn’t on the tub leaked out all over the floor and the kitchen was dirty. All in all I would not stay there again Nor recommended to anybody should be condemned.

Even for the price, this place was a dump. No thermostat control and it was cold. Badly stained cheap towels, NOTHING to cook with or eat on (no dishes, no pan, no nothing) in the kitchenette, holes in the sheets, graffiti on the headboard, messy paint job badly covering other graffiti, broken fixtures, broken window slats and no curtains, no bedside lights just a single overhead bulb, no ice machine (and no ice tray in the freezer either). We planned to eat a couple simple meals in the room, and had to spend $50 at Walmart, just to get some basic supplies. Worst of all, the room STANK so badly that everything we brought with us now smells bad and needs to be washed, even our jackets and bags.
