Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA
5/5 Excellent
"This is the second time I have stayed at the Hankyu RESPIRE, the first being only for a few nights on a multi-city "Golden Route" trip to Japan last year and the experience I had, combined with it's fantastic location meant it was the obvious choice for my week-long stay in Osaka this year. The rooms are well equipped and roomy, especially for Japan, toiletries, room slippers and pyjamas are provided, meaning you can leave those things at home and have more space in your luggage for your Japan shopping haul. Staff are extremely helpful, as you would expect in Japan, and there are laundry facilities available as well as luggage storage both before check in and after check out. The hotel is above the Links Umeda shopping complex, which also includes numerous restaurants for dining options in addition to the hotel's own restaurant. An elevated walkway surrounds the building and connects directly to Umeda Station for safe and easy access to rail and subway connections without having to cross roads at ground level, ideal for exploring not only Osaka itself by metro, but also for exploring the wider Kansai area by train to nearby cities like Kyoto and Nara. The station has additional shopping malls at each end including Lucua 1100 at the near side (North exit) and Daimaru at the far side (South Exit) which is home to Nintendo Store Osaka and various other gaming and anime collaboration stores. Next time I go to Osaka, this will again be my first choice for accommodation."
