Except for the convenient location and friendly staff, this hotel was a disappointment. It is worn down and tired. Housekeeping in the common areas, notably the lobby area (specifically the dirt in the area between the 2 main doors) and the obviously stained floors of the elevators, lead me to question whether I should cancel my reservation and look for another hotel. The room was tiny, with the bathroom being small as well and dark.

Comfortable and convenient.

Given that the name is "Smile Hotel," we were surprised that we were not greeted as such... but, perhaps the reception was not having a good day :) The room was very tight for 2 people + suitcases (12m2), but of course we knew that ahead of time. Overall, we had a great stay. The common areas and the room was clean, fresh towels were offered daily and toiletries were available at any time. It is well situated across from the Yotsubashi station and a stone's throw from Shinsaibashi, which was extremely convenient. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

Location is good, Close to public transportation and convenient stores, Quiet neighbourhood. Provided good toiletries. They have no laundry facilities unlike what is listed. Cleanliness needs a lot of work. The room we have is very dusty and still have stain marks. It is also the same as the Smile Hotel we stayed at in Tokyo.

The hotel is only a few minutes away from a station so connecting to Shin Osaka station was convenient. It was also within walking distance to Dotonbori. I booked a smoking room by mistake so be aware when doing your booking - luckily the window can be open and they have air purifier inside room so it was bearable but the corridor was quite smoky. The first night We could hear motor cycle revving and doing laps outside the hotel very loudly late at night which was really irritating but otherwise this hotel is good.
