I travel to Newport frequently because my son plays football at Salve Regina. Rooms tend to be expensive in September and October on weekends so I’m basically just looking for something clean and affordable. Room was pretty clean but had a funny smell. Stayed on the 1st floor near the reception desk and it was a little noisy. Next time I’ll stay on the 2nd floor. Over all not bad. Will stay again.

It was close to all the things we wanted to do. There were plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms seemed renovated and clean. My only issue was the fitted sheet seemed too small for the mattress and kept slipping off in the corners. Overall we had a restful and pleasant experience.

Location was very convenient and close to grocery, gas stations, etc. Not an attractive property or neighborhood, but price was good for high summer season. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Staff was courteous. Housekeeping was stingy with towels for the rooms. They provided a more appropriate amount only when requested. Common area carpeted hallways, stairs(there is no elevator) were not vacuumed regularly, visably dirty. Last day of our trip they finally vacuumed.
