Just ok

The hotel is just ok. The windows are very difficult to open as they are old, no aircon in the room which is a problem on a hot day. The shower temperature was difficult to suss out, the sink in the bathroom was set up so it would flood the area around, the room was directly opposite Wetherspoons so very noisy. You get basics for the price which was just over £140. It was just ok

Ideal location for a city break

Receptionist Lyn absolutely fantastic customer service and was a great help making the check in process so easy. Great location in city centre. Amazing apartment with all the mod cons. One minor downside was the apartment was very hot no air con or not sure if air con was working.

Booked "penthouse apartment".. very disappointed to discover that the bifold doors onto the balcony could not be used "due to health and safety" despite the balcony view featuring prominently in the listing.. air con in bedroom did not work at all, so literally zero sleep (until about 8am the next morning, when it started to work perfectly..) .. and a slight oversight in the listing, no mention that the majority of the wall between the bedroom and bathroom is a window. Seriously? Other than that, exactly as expected. :(

Stayed here a few times very good, hair dryer fused the room but it was fixed & replaced straight away The Hudson bar now closes between 10pm &10.30pm so can't have a night cap before going up to room, apparently it has different owners now

Great location, spacious.

Overall a good experience. Be aware that this facility is not the same as the hotel and is an about a block and half from the train station, but easily walkable with luggage (slight uphill). The apartment was spacious and clean. The would paneling around one the bathtubs was water damaged and it was difficult to take a shower without getting water all over the place. The location is very convenient to the “touristy” areas of the city. The rooms were quiet. I would stay here again.

Hotel is very nice with a good breakfast and friendly staff, the room was quiet small for a deluxe and the double beds were too small which made sleeping difficult unfortunately. Great location next to the railway station which offers ample very cheap car parking at £15 for Friday to Sunday.

Apartment was ok, always too hot, we ran the aircon all the time (which only went down to 18 and in April so not exactly the warmest part of the year, dread to think how warm it would be in summer), not eco friendly at all but we couldn't open any windows to get any cool or fresh air (place didn't smell particularly fresh anyway). Really hit or miss with the cleaning and towels would appear and disappear (we hung them up every time so weren't asking for fresh ones), virtually nothing was wiped down, seemed to be make the beds, fold the towels and end of toilet paper roll and that's it most of the time... decor was fine although the sofa covers are in desperate need of changing, looked like they'd been taken out of a student flat... also unless I missed the information, I wasn't told the apartments were in another building a couple of minutes away so all facilities, i.e. if you wanted the hotel breakfast, use the gym etc, required a walk round the block... wouldn't recommend basically...
