Rooms are clean, no smoke smell. That is the best part of it. However, the rooms are very small and I would take it for the price I paid. I was only there to spend a night waiting for my connection from JFK which is not too far either. The guy at the front desk was friendly. The A/c worked fine. Towels and sheets were very clean in appearance (I din't take a black light to scan, lol). Bathrooms were clean too. My only issue was there was no soap in any of the dispensers either next to the wash basin or in the shower. The lobby smelled of weed but once you are inside the room you would forget about it. The tap in the wash basin was also broken and had to be held in place to be used. Normally, I would have complained, but given my short stay, I didn't bother. If I am stranded a JFK again and had to spend a night in NY, I wouldn't mind checking in the same hotel.

If you are looking for the absolute cheapest stay then this would be decent as long as you are okay with broken toilet paper holders, the tiniest sink, and smelly towels. Not to mention the lights in the small room would flicker. You can also hear the room next to you’s conversation and loud music going off all night. Staff was nice. 40-60 minute train/bus trip to manhattan but brooklyn has its own charm that the local bodega’s show. No shopping nearby so don’t expect that. Hard to recommend this over places in jersey that have to same eta but probably safer trip to manhattan.
