Quiet and secluded

Our family of 5 stayed in this rental. It was a spacious 2 bedroom 2.5 bath. It felt both new and nice but also run down. The neighborhood is currently being built up with lots of empty lots and everything from mansions to small 1 bedroom houses and townhouses. We did appreciate that it was gated and felt safe. The security guards were extremely friendly. Our unit though could use a thorough cleaning. For example the fridge was smudged and smeared and there was dust in every corner. However the sheets and towels all felt immaculate. It is also in need of several repairs such as shower rod about to fall out and toilet paper holder barely functional. But these negatives were fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. Also loved having access to WiFi and laundry.

Diving Accommodations

My friend and I visited the island to SCUBA dive with Stuarts Cove located in Coral Harbor. This unit is a great place to stay if you are diving with this operation, provided you rent a car. The unit is spacious, clean, comfortable with lots of light. It is a 10-15 minute drive to Stuarts Cove in the morning. A grocery store is nearby (Abba) and a great local eatery is a 10 minutes drive (Miss Beverly's)

Quiet and relaxing

If you're looking for a nice, quiet and relaxing stay during your vacation, this is it. It is situated in a nice gated community with a security guard away from the heavily congested tourist area. The balcony view of the water is beautiful and serene. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The host was very helpful and easy to contact. I would stay here again.

The worst VRBO I have ever stayed in

This house was disgusting. There was hair (all types) in the sinks, bathtubs, under the beds, ON the beds and pillows, on the sofas, stuck in the grease on the stove....literally EVERYWHERE. The bathrooms were just wiped down and not cleaned. I lifted the small floor mats and gave a little shake and hair and dirt and sand just poured out of them. There was mold in ALL the crevices of the shower/bathtubs, and the jets on the jacuzzi tub were black with mold. There was pubic hair in the sinks and tubs and on the floor. The washer and dryer were dirty inside and out. The refrigerator was broken (and filthy) and kept beeping all night because the "door open" sensor was broken.....we rigged it so it stopped. The kitchen is severely understocked. There were 2 pans and 1 pot....all disgusting and un-usable. And even if I wanted to cook something, there were ZERO cooking utensils! There was may The stove had so much grease on it that there was hair stuck in the grease!! The bottom drawer (warming drawer) was filled with old food pieces and grease. There were light bulbs missing and no internet/WiFi. The main TV remote had no batteries. All the walls and doors were dirty and scratched and gouged and had dead bug guts on them. The ceiling is cracked in several places. The sheets were not washed. And the reason I know this is we found the last guest's airplane boarding pass in the sheets!!!! Clearly, they just made the bed with the used sheets. The pillows were brown with stains and they stunk and were covered with hair from the last guest. There were no mattress pads under the fitted sheets and there was sand all over the beds. There was hair and finger/toenails and dead bugs under both beds. There were the remnants of squished bugs on the walls and some kind of animal feces on the deck. Oh Yeah....this place was supposed to sleep 6....NOWHERE does it say that 2 of the beds are metal racks with a piece of foam instead of a mattress that get set up in the KITCHEN!!!! I brought clients to the Bahamas to go scuba diving and we had some in our group that do not dive but were looking forward to hanging out by the pool while the rest of us were diving. But guess what? THERE WAS NO POOL!! A private pool (complete with pictures) was advertised in the write-up....that's why we chose this place. But there was just a dirt lot where the pool should have been. We tried to contact the host when we checked in, but were not able to.

Beautiful property

It was a very nice new home with beautiful kitchen and bathrooms . The view was unfortunately disrupted with construction going on right out front on the island in the middle of the canal . It still was beautiful and the price fit the construction. I would give it 4 stars needs a little dish soap since there is not a dishwasher which we left some there and there was only 1 fork so they need to add some more silverware
