If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. The property is conveniently located. Close enough that we could walk to everything (except the aquarium) but far enough that you don't hear the sounds of downtown. The apartment/grounds are spotless. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. The AC worked great to keep humidity down and the place cool. There is a Keurig coffee maker with a few pods to get you through your first night.
Let me share some insights that I wish I had known before. These are not deal-breakers, but being aware of them can enhance your stay.
(1) As the owner describes this is one of a few apartments in a large historic home and sound travels. We did not hear any voices, TV, etc. Everyone respected quiet hours. But... this is the ground floor apartment. So we could hear loud footsteps above us. If that bothers you, consider reserving one of the apartments in this house that is not below another apartment, or bring some foam earplugs. If you stay on a top floor - don't walk on your heels.
(2) To keep the apartment smelling fresh, they either use a cleaning product or scented damp rid. If you are sensitive to smell, bring allergy pills or Tylenol.
(3) There is a dresser. No closet to hang clothes. But there are hooks near the front door and an iron and ironing board. If you have clothes that you must hang, bring a hanger.
These are so minor, but good to know.
