We loved the town of Menton, the living room and bedroom of this historic apartment, it's location at the best beach of Menton and one of the Riviera's best, and the hosts are superb. Menton is charming, picturesque and prosperous with very friendly and welcoming people. There are wonderful foods, many excellent restaurants and cute shops. Just remember that almost everything closes in the afternoon, and that most of the good restaurants are closed from Sunday afternoon until lunchtime on Tuesday. We solved this problem by shopping for delicious terrines, pates, cheeses, breads, fruit, premade food at Menton's market on Sunday morning. The living room and bedroom of the apartment are beautiful and have comfortable furniture. There is a nice dining table, or you can dine on the terrace overlooking the sea. There is also a small balcony. The air conditioning works well. The best thing about the kitchen is the large quantity of plates and the dishwasher. It's extremely small and not functional to actually cook in unless you are very short and don't mind a tiny room with no daylight. Although I usually do some real cooking on trips, we didn't mind because the quality of the premade foods and the restaurants is superb.Ask Catherine and Phillippe recommendations to restaurants and bakeries - we loved all their picks, and they'll kindly make reservations for you. They were very helpful hosts when there was a train strike on the day we left for Italy and they arranged a taxi.

L'appartamento è posizionato di fronte alla spiaggia libera di Mentone, vicinissimo al centro e al mercato. Ovviamente, non è silenziosissimo, ma il fronte mare e la terrazza valgono il soggiorno. Ampio e attrezzato, per due persone è molto piacevole e comodo. Bella la terrazza, dove si può cenare. L'edificio nel suo complesso ha bisogno di manutenzione e stupisce un po' il pagamento delle spese di pulizia a parte e cash, ormai ovunque comprese nel prezzo finale. Nel complesso, vale assolutamente il viaggo. Catherine e il marito molto gentili e disponibili. Torneremo.

Excellent position, everything we needed.

Great location being right over the beach, the shops 200 yards away round the corner, (you must try Ave croissants !), and a short walk round to the larger beach, boats, promenade and stunning view of delightful Menton.Communication was first class and when your only concern is the choice of coffee mugs you know you've made a great choice. (Ps Maybe get half a dozen nice mugs with Lemons on, I saw more than enough in the town !!)

A wonderful week in Menton

We spent a wonderful week in Menton as a family (three adults, a 1.5 year old and a 4 year old) and the property was an incredible home base for enjoying the town. We absolutely adored our holiday and cannot wait to return. Catherine was an exceptional host, assisting ahead of time and warmly meeting us to check in, full of information and recommendations. Menton was a perfect destination for a young family holiday and we highly recommend this property.

Riviera Beach Terrace, Menton

We had the pleasure of staying in this delightful apartment for nine nights. Catherine and Philippe were excellent hosts. They were very flexible about our arrival time, provided us with a clean set of linens mid way through our nine day stay, and Catherine very kindly drove us to the train station on the rainy morning that we left. The apartment is lovely, very clean , and all of the appliances worked well. The terrace and balcony are perfect with a stunning view of the sea. The lovely beach is a two minute walk away. We cooked many of our meals there and enjoyed eating all of them on the terrace. We hope to return very soon. Thank you Catherine and Philippe!

Fantastic location

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The landlords were extraordinarily helpful and nice. Especially the terrace with sea view was a great plus. Kitchen and bathroom are a bit our of date and could do with a bit of a makeover, especially if one would really want to prepare meals. But they were clean and perfectly functionable - so not a big thing. I would definitely come back!

Menton bliss

Property is beachfront centrally located, with 2 large beautiful rooms facing the sea that can act as bedrooms, although one is the lounge. Large balcony accessible by both of these rooms. Our host Catherine was helpful and responsive. Our only downside was the unexpected 80 euro cleaning fee. Highly recommend for 2 or 3 people

Magnificent position in Menton

Waterfront one bedroomed apartment with everything we needed. So close to old Menton. Older styled property with quaint small kitchen, character bathroom. Catherine our host was very hospitable and made sure we knew everything about the apartment on our arrival.

Menton vacation

What a perfect property to enjoy this wonderful town. Overlooked the Mediterranean Sea a promenade with restaurants easy way to walk with sea air hitting your face . Catherine and Phillpe so attentive and helpful Lovely apartment and great terrace . Good shower and kitchen well stocked .a local train easy to reach making visiting other towns and even Italy attainable I would recommend this to friends and love to come back. Wonderful 👍

Perfect place to stay!

The apartment had the most terrific view of the Mediterranean and Menton. Lovely, large second floor terrace. The rooms were airy and spacious. It was a special place to stay. Catherine, our host was attentive and helpful with a great orientation to the apartment and the Menton area. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect size and location

Great communication from the time we booked to the end. Catherine responded quickly and was easy to reach. She provided us with a lot of recommendations including travel from the airport. The unit was very spacious and had a fantastic view of the sea and sunrise. The balcony was large and easily accomdate 4 people. The market and old town was a block away which worked out perfectly. Fridge, stove, coffee machine and washing machine worked very well. Have past on our experience with other family members and would definitely book again. Would recommend.
