Small rooms. Bathroom with flawed tiles. Not really clean. Bed linen with blanket, no continental quilt. Old staircase with a couple flawed steps. Old and small (one person) escalator. Good Wlan. Sufficient power plugs on the (albeit too small) desk.

We stayed one night only for stopover. Great location, close to the beach and city centre. All Menton attraction is within walking distance. No private parking but public parking with discounted rate is 100m away, although in practice very difficult to get this discount. At the end we paid full rate € 13. The room is small and dated - no biggie, had a good sleep.

This was a charming little hotel. We stayed here so we could visit Monte Carlo (10 minutes by train) as staying in MC was too expensive. This hotel was perfect for a 1 night stay - beds. Don't expect anything too comfortable - this is a budget hotel. But the basics are provided for and good enough for a 1 or 2 night stay or the budget traveller. Location is about a 7 minute walk to the train station and close to all the towns attractions. I actually liked Menton better than Money Carlo

Great spot within 10 minutes walk of all you want to see in Menton. Rooms are dated but more than adequate. Breakfast croissants were fresh and tasty. Breakfast did lack for variety though and parking was a nightmare.

The hotel is in a great location close to the beach and the town, restaurants and supermarkets. Our twin room was small but comfortable enough. The clinging shower curtain on the small shower was a turnoff. The wifi worked well but the aircon didn't. Reception staff is hardly ever there it seems. There is a spot across the road, around the corner to park while you unload your luggage and a parking garage down the road for overnight parking. To receive discount parking at the garage for €9 + per night, the hotel has to phone the service chap at the garage. He was impossible to contact and we found him only minutes after we had paid the full €13.10 so no discount. Not a reliable system. Parking costs add up in 10 weeks of driving.

Basic but clean and comfortable. We were near reception, but as we were at the end of the corridor it was pretty quiet, number 31. It was a bit noisy sometimes in the morning, due to the dustcart paying early visits, but it wasn't too bad! The staff were friendly and the location really good being a stone's throw from the shops and beach, and a 5 minute walk from the market and medieval quarter. We found breakfast rather pricey for what we'd were given, but that is a result of the bad exchange rate. There is a good choice of places for breakfast nearby and the supermarket is almost next door.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before... but not for a number of years.... great location for a good value hotel... located in central Menton... 10 min' walk from the train station... and the same to the centre of the old town... and a couple of min' to the beach... booked a single occupancy, and got a compact double room... clean, comfortable and quiet, even though room is on a busy road... double glazed wndow... Excellent room air conditioning, which has been added since my last visit... breakfast is an extra, but a nice breakfast room with friendly staff... a small lift is available for heavy luggage as the hotel is on the first floor... Overall... very good value for the area...

My room (number 8) on the second floor was small, simple and totally charmless, but spotlessly clean, with a comfortable double bed. The really tiny bathroom had everything needed, except a hair dryer which was provided when I asked for one. It overlooked the road (though I could just see out towards the mountains behind the town) and, despite double glazing, was noisy until late when the traffic died down. I tried the breakfast once and it was very basic, but nice enough as far as it went. The staff were friendly and helpful. However what really delighted me was the hotel's location in this lovely town. It was a very short walk to the bus station, the tourist information office, the pedestrian area, the wonderful old town, the old port and the sea - ideal for my short stay.

Stage one of our Italian adventure. The hotel is easy to find and we were lucky with finding a parking place fairly close-by, but you are in the centre of Menton after all. Check-in was slower than I'm used to but the clerk was very pleasant as were the ancillary staff who also took time to chat about Bob, our dog. Our first floor room was excellently cleaned, the bed comfortable and a good sized room. The bathroom was clean and again a fairly good size. There's lots of attractions close by and we ate locally in a nearby restaurant. My sleep quality was very good; there was some slight noise directly above on the next floor but that didn't last long.

Nice enough hotel but you get what you pay for. We were on the same floor as the reception which was really noisy. When people came in at night to ask something you could hear everything. Also the cleaners in the morning are not shy about having a loud conversation directly outside your room, very early!! Very helpful staff and friendly service but quite run down and the toilet/shower had a nasty damp smell. Again fine if all you want is a bed!
