This hotel is located very close to the beach and 10 minutes walk from old town. Room was clean and own balcony was nice. Hotel have only in room breakfast, but near by is very good bakery. Bed and pillows were quite hard if you are used tempur or soft bed. Wifi was slow and connection worked poorly.
I was in this hotel for business. The receptionist was nice and available. One positive aspect of the hotel is the parking of property, far 50 m from hotel and closed. Internal furniture is quite aged and should be updated. Breakfast provided in the room, if requested, is a good idea. Price are lower than the average of Cote d'Azur. Structure recommended for business for short staying.
Nice hotel , only glass doors in bath was bit old style and toilet to small to get in and close doors. Wi-fi sometimes dont work . And flat tv to small in big rooms. No kettle in the room . Apart that is good hotel
We came to Menton with the thought of just staying for a night or two, we booked into the Chambord and were pleasantly surprised, we actually ended up staying for 5 nights! The hotel was clean & tidy, the bedroom was large with a balcony overlooking the gardens, very well located for everything & has free wifi. The staff were a nice, friendly bunch too, who were helpful and chatty. After looking at other hotels in the area, this place represented good value for money and although breakfast is available in the room only, there are loads of cafes a stones through away that offer breakfast for as little as 5€. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and a place that I would happily stay in again! MENTON. Thought I would just add a little about the town its self and how easy it was to use as a base for exploring other areas! The Chambord Hotel is about a 2-3 minute walk to both the train & the bus station! The buses are a lot cheaper to use that the train but obviously take a little longer. It's very easy to get to Italy as its just a few kilometres away, Ventimiglia is a pleasant place with an OK beach, Sanremo a little further along is worth a visit, some lovely buildings and nice beaches too. On the other side, Monaco is a very short trip away, worth a visit just to see how the other half play! Nice and it's lovely old town is also just half an hour or so by train! Menton offered a lot of charm, was not overly busy, has some nice restaurants, nice beaches, a sand beach just past the harbour, a fantastic market if your self catering, pretty much something for everybody!!!! I will undoubtedly return here, a lovely place !
they didn´t tell in advance that the air cond was break , i spent a horrible night, could not sleep and could not rest...they did´t give me the opportunity to change the hotel.the room not so clean....
Breakfast as far as we can ascertain is what ever you are given. The only choice we have been offered so far is what did we want to drink. The beds and chairs are so low to the floor people of my size cannot easily get out of them. We will not be staying again!
Good location for old town, beach and restaurants. Staff helpful, courteous. The room and bed were acceptable. The shower/ tub combination is a real safety and fall hazard. Be very careful! The tub is curved in the bottom with no grip pad or stabilizing indentations for your feet. So you slip on a curve while trying to hold on and use the shower head which is installed either facing a window in the shower enclosure or the wall. We also parked in their garage on the lower level which is also a safety hazard. B,ack as pitch with light sensors not activated properly and extremely narrow for cars.
Lovely clean hotel in the centre of Menton. Good value for money. Staff were friendly and room large. Comfortable bed and breakfast in room overlooking the park. Parking in garage for expert drivers only as a bit tight if you have a large car.
Not an upmarket hotel but has been renovated to a comfortable standard. Rooms are small and basic but nothing to complain about. Bathrooms could do with new ceramics. Well situated close to the station and also the centre of town. Extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Perfect for our two night stay during the tennis in Monaco and would happily go back
