Best VRBO we have ever stayed in. It was spotless and so welcoming with perfect decor and design. Information about our stay upon arrival (both digital and physical) was extensive and much appreciated. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to return in the future!

This property is amazing! It is very cozy but also spacious and relaxing. Just minutes from all the activities. I would recommend this stay for any of Stillwater’s events.

Our hosts Pam & Ian were very welcoming. They responded to our questions/needs immediately. The home is gorgeous and very smartly decorated/furnished. My only downside were the stairs to get down to the driveway....steep but manageable for a 68 year-old lady who has a bit of paranoia about heights :) Won't stop us from going back!

We had a wonderful stay in Stillwater. The place is a great spot to explore downtown and enjoy the river. Whispering Walnut was gorgeous and cozy. So many small details that made our stay the best.

Our stay at Whispering Walnut was absolutely lovely! The home is spotless, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. The setting is peaceful and quiet — just the right mix of cozy and refreshing. We especially loved the location: close to an iconic overlook enabling a beautiful view of the town. This location provides access to an extremely long stairway that took us right into the heart of all activity. Lots of great shops, restaurants and bar by the river. Highly recommend Whispering Walnut for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Wonderful place, so warm and welcoming. It’s just as beautiful in person as in the pictures. Loved the story of the old walnut tree and to find it incorporated into the rental in so many ways. This location is great, as it’s close to downtown historic Stillwater but also a short drive to Willow Falls State park which we really enjoyed. We will definitely be back!!

The Whispering Walnut was beautiful and perfect! Pam and Ian went above and beyond with every thoughtful detail to make this stay just right! The location was perfect for exploring Stillwater - downtown was just a couple of blocks and down the overlook stairs. It was nice to walk into town and then be able to leave the busy streets for a quiet place to sleep!
