I was very dirty. The tv did not work. We tuned the heat on and you could smell electrical burning and then the smoke detector went off. I told the front desk that I didn’t feel comfortable in the room. They gave us a new room. The breakfast was not good and was not included in the stay.

Staff were absolutely superior. The hotel itself felt empty. No coffee etc in lobbyv in afternoon. No coffee in room. No breakfast available. Historic hotel that has kept its charm. Lovely antiques throughout. Historic rooms are spacious - with updated baths and very comfortable beds. Beautiful patio for dining or drinks. Restaurant is beautifully appointed and has great food.

It was historic, but there was a very strong musty smell. The rooms were not very functional - rooms have windows to the hallway. They had mini blinds but it was like daylight in our room all night from the light in the hallway. The light to the bathroom is outside the bathroom by the door so if you use it in the middle of the night you have to blind your partner until you get into the bathroom. There was also no counter space just a pedestal sink. There was plenty of room for some additional shelves.
