Owner cancelled the reservation one day before my fight, purportedly due to "environmental events", of which there were none as far as I can tell.

Avoid! Accomodation switched last minute - host confirmed that it was like for like before our late evening arrival but replacement had 1 less bed and no dining table. We were told the change was due to an unexpected AC issue in original accomodation. This may be true but there are reviews on other sites with similar stories which makes us question that. Towels were not provided for all guests initially and had to be requested. Cleanliness was poor, fridge and oven were dirty and bedroom. The toilet in the bathroom clogged after single use, we did not use again. No top sheet on one bed and no curtains in one bedroom. Listing states washer and dryer, there is no mention of this being paid and not in unit (this is mentioned on other booking sites but not vrbo). Check in process was suspicious - the building has a concierge but keys were collected from an unlocked box attached to a car. When issues and compensation were raised with host we were accused of ruining towels (there were small pink marks on 2 small hand towels that match the soap provided by host) and blamed for the toilet issue which they said had never been an issue before. The large plunger already in the bathroom and reviews on other sites indicate this was not the case. I was told that if we agreed to not leave negative feedback they would do the same and compensation could be discussed - i had no interest in that. Would advise no one to book

Don’t consider booking here. We did not receive check-in info until hours before and then we got a different property than we booked. The apartment was over a night club and we couldn’t sleep until after midnight. The worst VRBO experience we ever had.
