    Private apartment, not hotel

    Information on the website is misleading. It refers to hotel, has address 206/699B Barkly Street, West Footscray and a photo of a large building with address 699-703. When we made the contact to arrange the check in we were instructed to go to 630 Barkly Street. It was a block of private apartments, farther down the street. The owner of the apartment met us there, showed us the apartment and gave us keys. She was very nice and the apartment was quite new and in good condition; but there were limited toiletries (e.g. no shampoo, conditioner), no hairdryer, ironing board, tea or coffee - basically things you expect to get when you book a hotel room. The website should not refer to "hotel", it should clearly state that you get a private apartment and should provide the correct address and photos of the actual apartment with correct listings of amenities.

    시티에서는 조금 거리가 있지만 가격대비 깨끗하고 넓은 아파트임. 주인이 정말정말 친절함.

    멜번 시티내에서 풋츠크레이까지 거리는 택시로 25,000원 정도 수준이고, 한적한 동네임. 도착하기 하루전 반드시 주인에게 연락을 하여 체크인 시점을 알려줘야함. 우리는 그걸 잊어버리고 밤늦게 갔는데 동네가 너무 조용해서 무서웠음. 주인이 한밤중인데도 빨리 와서 체크인 도와주고, 아파트 상태는 깨끗함. 에어컨 물이 좀 떨어졌던것 말고는 크게 불편한 점이 없었고, 세탁기까지 있어서 밀린 빨래하기에도 좋았음. 새벽에 체크아웃하고 서던크로스역까지 가는 교통편이 마땅치 않고 콜택시도 잡히지 않아 불안해서 집주인에게 얘기했더니 새벽 4시에 직접 서던크로스까지 데려다 주는 친절을 베풀었음.. 정말 감동... 베트남 계열 같은데, 정말 친절했고, 교통편만 조금 원할하다면 다음에 또 멜번을 가게되면 이용할 수도 있을 것 같음.. 풋츠크레이가 우범지역이라고 하는데.. 그닥 못느꼈고, 조금 걸으면 큰 마트도 있어서 장보고 간단하게 고기도 구워먹고 했음.. 멜번 교외지역의 모습을 보기에 좋은 숙소.. 아이들을 동반한 가족이라면 보통 호텔보다 넓어서 이용하기 편할 수도.. 주차장도 있기 때문에 렌트를 해서 여행한다면 좋을 숙소이다. 이 기회를 빌어 체크인, 체크아웃 때 너무 친절했던 집주인에게 다시한번 감사드리고 싶다.
