the hotel experience was AMAZING. hotel is sooooo clean and modern and the staff was so helpful and gave us tips everyday on where we should go! LOVED IT!!

Such a fantastic experience as the room is so clean and the staff was super helpful! Flawless!!!!

The location is fabulous for anyone who wants to be in the heart of the city. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, but that's their job, no? The KEYS are a MAJOR problem - no matter where you keep them, they keep de-activating. Guests find themselves struggling to get them to work in the elevator and we had to have them reactivated about once a day. Matter of luck. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean with equipped kitchenette, BUT there are no proper drawers to put your belongings. We found ourselves living out of our suitcases for 2 weeks! The hotel provides soap at the sink in a squeeze bottle and all-in-one bath wash, shampoo and conditioner in another in the shower. I can live with that, but once the squeeze bottle was empty, it took three days to get it filled - only after requesting. House-keeping was lacking in the sense that we had to specifically ask for laundry bags and clean washcloths. Finally, at the price we were paying one would expect free wi-fi. But alas, that too was at an additional cost - which is pretty obnoxious when free wi-fi is pretty common. Would I go there again? No :(

The room - more of a studio than a hotel room - was excellent! Very spacious and had a kitchenette with cookware, dishes, etc. The staff was very helpful with giving directions and pointing us to restaurants following our late-night arrival. It is a block away from Chinatown and great little cafes for breakfast, as well as the free tourist bus stop. Also walking distance from great shopping (well, the whole city is walking distance for us... use the trollies if you don't like walking too far).

My stay at Citadines on Bourke was great. The location is ideal, close to many restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. It's also a short walk to the NGV and other cultural attractions. The room was very clean and includes a kitchenette, which is a bonus. Friendly staff, too, as I was able to check in early after a very long flight. Recommended!

Great location, really nice hotel. Will definitely stay here again

This hotel was mostly very good, the staff were pleasant and helpful, the location was excellent, and it was a good price. On the downside, the bed was composed of two singles made up as one bed, and this is never good as you get that 'ridge' in the middle. The tap fitting in the sink was also loose, and quite stiff to operate. Fairly minor things. overall very happy.

the location was great, right in the middle of the city and the staff were very helpful. the room had a nice "living space" with a small kitchen and living room area, but the beds were on the smaller side and there wasn't much space for unpacking if on a longer stay - the room did not have a dresser of sorts, just one small closet and two even smaller drawers so it was kinda of diffiult for two people to unpack their suitcases for an extended stay...and don't expect too much from housekeeping, i guess since it is an "apartment/hotel" they don't offer the same amenities as normal hotels - like, towels upon request or lotions, showercaps, shampoo and such, but other than that, i thought it was a great place to stay and i would most certainly stay there again....

Great location, quiet, low price, new and nice furnishings, especially an incredibly comfortable bed. It was convenient to have a full kitchen and very good sound system. Thus 3 stars. They failed at all the "soft" amenities. Housekeeping just tidied up but didn't clean -- folding up used towels instead of replacing them with clean ones, etc., a real problem when you're sharing with a friend who you're not that kind of comfortable with! The only toiletries provided were shampoo and shower gel, and housekeeping didn't replace them, so I had to ask every day at the front desk for more. They didn't provide instructions for how to use the key card in the elevator so when I arrived (feeling sick and jet-lagged) I rode up and down in the elevator until a housekeeper helped me. When asking for restaurant reservations, the front desk staff just googled things -- something we could've easily done better had internet not cost $14/day! The in-house restaurant hadn't opened yet when I stayed. They really treated people as if the place were solely short-term apartments, not a hotel. It's unfortunate, because everything else is very nice. They need to train their staff better and maybe include more toiletries.

This brand new hotel had only been open for about 75 days prior to my arrival. Nice facility, well designed, friendly and helpful staff. Being new, there was a minor glitch or two, but truly minor (i.e., it took several tries to get the electronic key system to give me access to the floors with laundry facilities). The pool and sauna are basic, but usable. Three new iMac's in the lobby for customer use ($6 per hour). Tram, buses and taxis literally right outside the door. Walking distance to Parliament, Chinese and Italian Districts. Less than a 10 minute taxi ride to Southern Cross Station for the "SkyBus" to and from the airport as well as connections for all trains. (Skybus is the best way to and from the airport, but be sure to purchase your return ticket when you depart the airport. Total cost is then only $26 round trip compared to $50 to $60 for a taxi one-way)! Also, the city runs a FREE tour bus for visitors with narration and on-off options at each stop. It departs just around the corner from the hotel. All in all, hard to beat this hotel, it's condition and location.
