The staff and house keeping were excellent. It is centrally located so street noise is to expected. However it was excessive. Sirens through the night every ten to fifteen minutes all night long. Partying on the street with yelling and carrying on 70% of the time. Difficult to sleep through the night. I have never been in a hotel anywhere that you have to pay 10 euros for a bucket of ice for your drinks in the room. They did have a water distillery on every floor which was a positive. Metro at your doorstep was also a positive. The front desk staff were very attentive and helpful and they spoke English which is big positive. Rooftop pool was out of order which was a disappointment but the bar on the roof offered a nice panoramic city view but limited seating.

I used to love staying at this hotel during my early years working in Madrid, shortly after it first opened. However, I stopped coming because both the staff and the overall atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. The hotel is right at the heart of Granvia..felt like I’m in time square coz we came in right in time of their Christmas celebration where they lighted up the streets of the city. The hotel itself is 5 star quality, the rooms are well decorated, bed and bedding’s are nice and neat, bathroom is clean and fancy. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was worth it. All the staff are nice and courteous and accommodating. Will definitely come back to stay here on our next trip..will recommend to friends as well.
