Hotels on the Lake in Lower Garden District

"We settled on this HI after reading reviews on trip advisor. It was perfect for us as a family. Getting to the hotel was easy with less traffic and bigger streets than the French Quarter. Pulling up for valet was simple with plenty of spots to park. The valet charge was $44/day I think. It has in and out privileges but we never drove. We walked everywhere - to the Riverfront, French Quarter and along the arts district. You can get most anywhere within 30 minutes walk/1.3-1.5 miles. I highly recommend dinner at Sofia or Meril nearby if you’re tired of Cajun food. Our room was very spacious and had one king and a sofa bed. Breakfast is included and has a lot of options - hot bar, waffles, grits, yogurt, cereal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The best thing was how quiet it was! I rarely heard other people coming and going when we were in our rooms. "
