The Empress is in/near a very nice/cool/fun section of Main St. Good food. Solid galleries. At least two very interesting antique shops. Wonderful ice cream shop. The Community Bakery is very good for pastries, coffee, breakfast or lunch. At the Empress James is a perfect host and took care of everything we needed. We would stay again if our travels take us back to Little Rock.

We were able to check ourselves in without any problems. The property’s public areas were wonderfully decorated with turn of the century/ gilded age antiques. My only complaint was the lack of human interaction, I can only hope the proprietors get a welcoming robot in the near future.

The Eliza room had very nice sheets. The bed was a little squishy for our taste so we didn't sleep the best. The head board made a lot of noise too. The bathroom is small so there's not much room around the sink to get ready. The room was nicely decorated as well as the rest of the home.

Parking was easy and secure. We missed having breakfast. At the present time, proprietors are only able to provide coffee & recommended a local bakery where we purchased delicious scones. I would advise older adults with mobility issues to try to book carriage as Eliza room and other rooms in house required climbing long staircase. Fortunately Ben, one of proprietors, offer to carry our luggage. Overall it was a positive experience.
