We were already familiar with Mount Gretna Cottages so we found the cottage to be charming. Well stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware sets, plus dinnerware and drinkware. Although I used all my linens and towels due to an allergy they were available as well. The front porch faces the street and it’s a nice place to relax and even eat meals there if you so desire. I’m going to give a constructive suggestion and that is that it needs a deep cleaning inside and out. I spent several hours the first day cleaning the outside and an hour each day cleaning. I realize that pollen, leaves and pine needles fall, but this was a large amount for a long time. The porch was coated with tree debris, pollen, dirt, dust and long cobwebs including on the beautiful rockers. The cleaning couple said that is not their job to do the outside. The pavers in the patio area should be pressure washed along with the grill cleaned thoroughly. The grill was molded. The inside of the house appeared to be superficially clean, but stove burner drip pans were dirty plus oven had not been cleaned. I didn’t use the one white coffee maker, but cleaned that because it was very dirty. The fan upstairs had dirt hanging from it and the floor vents and return vents in the ceilings were coated with dirt which the owner has a duty to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and health. The vacuum emitted a bad smell. It would have been nice to have screens in the windows and a small trash can in the powder room.
