Canadians in Luz

We are from Canada and booked a week in Luz to enjoy the hot sun and beautiful beaches. The unit was clean and perfect. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. Nice balcony to catch the morning sun. Would stay here again!

Perfect location

Our stay in Luz was a perfect base for us to explore Southern Portugal. After exploring the cute village and walking the cliffs, we had day trips to the surrounding villages. The apartment was perfect for us.

Lovely apartment

The apartment was beautifully furnished with all the amenities we needed for a family of 4. Good location for the beach and supermarket was only about 5 min walk, we used Uber and spent a good few days/nights in Lagos (€8 each way so very cheap) it was more lively there and more to do, although Luz has plenty of bars and restaurants it was quite small and we had our 17 & 19 yr old sons with us, the beaches are beautiful in either Lagos or Luz. Our only problem was what to do with our luggage on our last day as it was checkout at 10am and our flight was 21.30, I asked about late checkout as I saw on the booking website that no one was booked for a few days, but I was told that due to the cleaners schedule our only option was to book for another night which was too expensive, we were advised to try luggage hero by the management company which is an app that tells you of local places that will securely hold your luggage for a small fee, although the only one in Luz at the moment is studio cafe which is very close by but it closes at 3pm. We did use this service and it cost us €21 for 5 hrs (3 suitcases) we then had to sit outside the apartment from 3pm until 5.40pm to be picked up by our taxi. We should’ve got our taxi to pick us up in Lagos and there were many more places to leave the luggage until later but that was our mistake, I would definitely recommend this apartment it was perfect. And clean (which is the main thing to me)

Großzügige und schicke Wohnung mit herrlichem Balkon

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung extrem wohl gefühlt. Frühstück und Abendessen auf dem herrlichen Balkon waren für uns das Highlight. Der Weg zum Strand ist ein kurzer Spaziergang von 10 bis 15 Minuten. Alles war sehr sauber, die Küche gut ausgestattet, ein Parkplartz direkt vor der Tür und das zweite Bad war gerade als Familie mit zwei Kindern ein großer Vorteil. Luz selbst ist ein eher ruhiges Kleinod mit einem tollen Strand und einigen Restaurants und Bars sowie zwei kleinen Supermärkten. Von uns gibt es eine uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung!

14 Tage in Luz

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, wohnlich und modern eingerichtet. Die Lage ist ideal, um Unternehmungen auch in der Umgebung zu starten, und nur 10 Minuten vom Strand entfernt. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus waren ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt. Der Ort selbst ist bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre. Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die unseren Erwartungen entsprochen hat. Gerne wieder!

Op een paar kleine dingen na was alles prima in orde

De volgende keer dat wij weer naar Luz komen, gaan we proberen weer dit appartement te huren. Het voelde als thuis.

Die Wohnung war so wie Beschrieben . Es gibt eine 11 seitige Hausordnung vorab was man alles nicht tun sollte . Da steckt die Erwartung sehr hoch . Das Geschirr ist etwas knapp bemessen und zeitweise riecht es doch nach Abfluss . Befremdlich ist es das man vorab eine Kaution bezahlt aber niemand vor Ort ist und die Wohnung abnimmt bzw. auch wieder abnimmt vor Abreise . Die Kaution wird erst zurück erstattet wenn man schon abgereist ist. Macht aber ein extrem unsicheres Gefühl da doch einige Mängel vorhanden waren . Die Kommunikation via Mail war prompt und freundlich . Die Lage zum Ort ist super .

Aufenthalt war schön und ruhig. Kleine Kritik: Geschirr in den Schränken war nicht sauber und bitte mehr Besteck und Klopapier bereitstellen. Ein Handtuch mehr wär auch super bei längeren Aufenthalt. Waschmaschine bitte mal Grund reinigen.

Een fijn appartement op een mooie plek

We hebben samen heerlijk genoten in dit fijne appartement, lekker rustig en op loopafstand van het strand en voldoende uiteten gelegenheden in de buurt. Het uur rijden van en naar het vliegveld was geen punt en de buren waren aardig om ons de ingang van het appartement te laten vinden.

Schönes ruhiges Apartment

Also: der Geschirrspüler hat nicht gut gewaschen. Geschirr war knapp. Wir empfanden das Geschirr als schmutzig und haben es vor der ersten Benutzung per Hand abgewaschen. Eine Teekanne fehlt. Wohin mit dem heißen Wasser vom Wasserkocher? Bei der Dusche lief das Wasser kaum ab. Die Bettwäsche war nachdem wir es nochmals gewaschen haben deutlich sauberer. Trotzdem haben wir uns in dem Apartment wohl gefühlt. Die Deckenlautsprecher und die Bluetoothanlage sind echt der Hit.
