If you want to be right down in Laconia this is a great spot. I was visiting local family and we decided to stay here since it was off season pricing. I understand - but abhor - the massive price hikes during summer months. So this Thanksgiving stay was a nice change on rates.
It's a great hotel located in walking distance of downtown. The town has a bunch of cool shops & restaurants, and this hotel has a nice patio located right on the river. Free breakfast was great too! We saw a concert at Bank of NH Pavilion, it's less than 15 min. drive from the hotel.
Broken elevator all week broken coffee machine my pipes running slow the dryer didnt stop after you opened the door to take stuff out the front desk guy in the morning was kind of rude an he had a runny nose an didnt even wash his hands after blowing it it was a better experience a year ago

Property is difficult to get out of - no left turns allowed. Check-in was very slow. Room was neat and clean
This hotel was a bit run down. It appeared to be an older hotel that was 'flipped' or renovated in an attempt to look nicer but there were glaring areas both around the property and in my room that stood out. There were drop ceiling tiles that were sagging with rusted water damage marks on the 1st floor. My hotel room sliding glass shower door would fall off it's track every time I opened it. At one point the shower door handle lost a knob when a screw fell off. Food ran out at the breakfast buffet and we had to inform the staff, which was not immediately available. Things of note that were not included in my overall rating because it would be unfair: The gym was not open. I still don't understand why hotels are not opening gyms. We are touching and sitting close to other families in the breakfast area and in other places. Gyms are not usually staffed either so I don't know what the excuse is here. The immediate area around the hotel was not clean. There was a homeless population that appeared to be drug users. There were used needles in the hotel parking lot and panhandlers asking for money when exiting the hotel. Overall, I would recommend finding a hotel closer to the lakes if you can afford it. It appeared to be cleaner and safer the closer you got to the lakes. This hotel did serve its purpose so if you're in a pinch or can't afford other hotels, this one is manageable.
It's a great location and the service was friendly. It's a bit pricey, but they seem to be the only major hotel in the area.
The hotel staff was letting intoxicated individuals stand at the entrance and rant at people. One of the 2 Went up to my car while I checked in, and started yelling at my wife in the car and banging on the windows until I came back outside. I’m the only one who even said anything to this guy and after this happened while we parked the person at front desk did nothing. It seemed a lot like that’s an average night here because it seemed like a total non issue to them.
