Perfect New Year Stay

What a wonderful way to ring in the New Year! The condo was cozy, clean, and full of morning sunshine. The ocean view from the balcony and bedroom was a welcome treat. The private beach access made it easy to reach the beach. The location was close to the entrance gates, making errands for coffee and groceries quick and simple. This was our favorite place yet at Kiawah.

Overall summary: Rental provided everything we needed; online pictures provided an excellent representation of the rental; the view from the deck was amazing; the bed was very comfortable. We did feel as though the bathroom needed a little work. However, overall, we absolutely loved it and had a great time. We felt as though the price was very reasonable for the value.

Kiawah Island

The sofa was so dirty we couldn’t sit on it. Had crumbs or something and lots of hair, animal probably. We eventually put towels down on sofa so we could sit on it. Other than that everything was clean

Nice stay

The property is a little run down looking. Attention to cleanliness is needed. For example, long hair on bathroom sink when we arrived. The shower curtain appears moldy at the bottom. And we were sitting on the deck/balcony having a drink watching the ocean around 8pm and the neighbor right above us, dumped there cooler of ice/water over the edge and drenched us. Not the property's fault, just the inconsiderate neighbor above. Great access to the beach which was the whole purpose.

This property offers beautiful views! We enjoyed listening to the ocean, the deer came right up under the balcony and even had her baby with her! It is centrally located, just a very short walk out to the beach, and short drive into the Freshfields Village for dining and shopping. The inside of the condo was a bit run down. The sofa and chair in the family room were uncomfortable and the couch was stained. The kitchen table chairs only had 2 of 4 cushions, and one of the chairs was unstable, the light was burnt out over the table. There wasn't a working light in the oven. The refrigerator is very old. It is showing some rust and doesn't work well. We checked in, loaded frozen items in the freezer, came back 2 hours later and everything was ruined. We did call maintenance and they came the next day. It never worked well the entire time we were there. The bathroom really needs some TLC!! The exhaust fan does not work, and the paint is chipping off the walls very badly!! A ceiling fan in the bedroom would be helpful as it gets warm in there. The balcony furniture needs to be more comfortable seeing as that is where most of your time is spent when you are there. The beautiful views, beach access, and convenient location are what you are paying for here and it is worth every penny!!! However, it would be nice if the inside was given some extra attention and updates were made to make it more comfortable when you are inside.
