The Walua Trail is a welcoming, paved pathway perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. Stretching about six miles round trip, it's a favorite among both locals and visitors for its scenic views and relaxed atmosphere. Offering a quieter, low-traffic alternative to busier routes, the trail is partly separated from the road, though some sections do run alongside residential areas.
The first three miles include a steady uphill climb—especially after the 1.5-mile mark—rewarding you with a breezy, downhill return that makes the trip back especially enjoyable.

The sunny Kona Coast is famous for its crystal-clear waters, rich history, and endless activities. Just eight miles south of Kona International Airport, you'll find historic Hawaiian landmarks such as Huliheʻe Palace, Mokuʻaikaua Church, and Ahuʻena Heiau.
