Our stay at the Radisson Hotel Louisville North during the Kentucky Derby was a nightmare. Check-in took 30 minutes as the front desk staff seemed completely untrained. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. Shortly after getting to my room, my employee called to say someone was already inside his assigned room. The front desk employee went with him to investigate but didn’t know how to use the latch tool to open the door – my employee had to do it. Inside, the room was barricaded with couches and reeked of weed. The adjoining door to the next room was wide open, clearly indicating unauthorized access. The staff member casually stated, “This happens all the time. Homeless people climb up the balconies and get in.” Shockingly, no one contacted the police. Despite my employee asking multiple times for a different room, they sent him back to the compromised room. When we went to check it, the manager was outside the neighboring room struggling to open it. Once inside, someone was barricaded in the bathroom, pushing back on the door when we tried to open it. Only after insisting did they finally move my employee to a new room. A maintenance worker told us incidents like this “happen all the time.” Unbelievable. This hotel is unsafe, unprofessional, and poorly managed. Stay far away.

The room was not clean upon arrival. Beds wore made and trash had been removed. The counters, door knobs and bathtub were extremely nasty! There was a clear jelly-like substance everywhere!

The rooms are run down and old. There was broken glass in the hallways heading towards our room. Broken glass tiles on the floors, tiny elevators, key cards that don’t work, and a mile walk to the rooms. I will NEVER stay here again. It smelled like mildew and smoke through the hallways.

They overcharged me $100 when i checked in for the deposit , was 1 washcloth in room for 2 pple staying 2 days. Had to talk to multiple pple to get 2 more , water stood in sink and shower when used and had to wait awhile to go down.. only thing good was the view in the back of the lake . Go somewhere else !! Not worth it !!!

Clean older hotel

The hotel is convenient to the Interstate. Older property but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Be warned though, there are no vending machines. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in without them. No coffee offered for free in mornings. Only the pod makers in rooms. Crazy. They have a bar with limited food. A restaurant is there but again, limited hours. You are better off shopping for

The staff were nice enough, but the property was very dated. The room itself was clean, but the handicap shower just left a pool in the bathroom that was very slick. Bumped one of the ceiling tiles and a used needle fell down. Outside door to the hall didn't close properly, and there was some shady people hanging around it. Probably wouldn't stay again.

I asked when making reservation for room close to pool. They gave me a room in old part of hotel. Went back up and asked for different room. The next room only had 1 bed in it. The third room we were given only had 1 bath towel and wash cloth in it. The bathroom needs updates. There was an old junk camper outside on the property! Several other people had problems with their rooms and were asking for refunds. This was my third stay and i wont come back. The best part of the place is the pool.
