The hosts were wonderful and very attentive to our needs. The guests all mingled and had a good time with great conversations. We got a lot of "steps" in and everything we wanted to do or see was in walking distance. Will definitely return and stay at the Benjamin Ellis B&B.

Beautifully preserved historic home. Quaint, well appointed, and every detail considered to make your stay special. Loved the proximity to the main streets of New Bern. The owners were wonderful and breakfast was delicious! Makes you want to move there!!

Beautiful restored home and history was enlightening. Host's were kind and accommodating, I failed to mention my disability I am sure the room upstairs would have been beautiful. I cannot wait for breakfast, I'm sure it will be great it's gonna be quiche. Much thanks to our gracious hosts

Period house, but room and house decoration not inspired. Good, but not great breakfast. Somewhat obtrusive owner. We've had better stays, but outside of New Bern. Location is excellent, but there are others on same block. Not convinced there is enough to do for entire weekend there.

Our stay was excellent! A lovely historical house and setting, wonderful and interesting accents around, excellent books with house and New Bern history to read, our room was comfortable and perfect with view of the clock, gracious additions to make our stay like home, the breakfast was delicious and excellent, off street parking and hosts helpful and personable. We would love to return!

Perfect location for restaurants and all the local attractions. Parked our car at the B&B and walked the entire weekend. The owners could not of been more accommodating and the breakfast was to die for.

This B&B provided what was probably the best B&B experience we have ever had. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as were the public rooms. and our bed was very comfortable. Adequate parking was available in the rear of the property. The breakfast food was amazing. Innkeepers Tracy and Gretchen Du Peza could not have been nicer, especially when we missed the usual check in time by several hours. The rate was more than reasonable. We will certainly stay at the Benjamin Ellis House again the next time we are in New Bern.
