Really enjoyed our brief stay. Hotel sits right on the Neuse River. Enjoyed an evening beverage sitting in the back pool area that overlooks the river. Hotel is within walking distance of all the best restaurants in New Bern. Room was updated and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I had to have surgery in New Bern. Still in great pain. We checked into our room. Third floor was humid. We opened the door to our room and it was worse. The fliers were damp. The toiletry soap bottles and box were damp as if the shower had been running on hot for hours. We could not get a refund, because the booking was reserved through Hotel.com. The manager who, inspected our room was very kind and offered us a new room, but like I said, I was there for extensive surgery, already unpacked and in no condition to move. After she left, I removed my socks to head to the bath and sure enough the carpet was damp. The sheets were doable but maybe I just slept hard to my medication.

Very sad to pay extra for a balcony room thinking that you will overlook the beautiful views and have it overlook a parking lot. In hotel's defense we arrived early and they accommodated check in but I wish I had been told that we can give you a room but your view may not be ideal.

Our only disappointment was there was not complementary breakfast,( including coffee) if there was we didn't know about it! The hotel it self was great, room clean, and comfortable. Staff great!

Everything was as expected. The balcony was a pleasant surprise. The bed was pretty hard which hurt my back the whole rest of the next day, but really, what do you expect from a hotel bed.

Hotels in Kinston were booked or rough looking so we looked towards the beach. I'm glad I did. We wound up in New Bern... it was worth the drive from Kinston. We had a nice 3rd floor room with a balcony overlooking the river and park. The 2 front desk ladies seemed interested in making our one night enjoyable. It was within walking distance to cute shops, restaurants and bars. It was nice to have our coffee on the balcony, watching the birds at the river's edge before we left in the morning.

Very nice location and the staff were very nice. I will be back for a longer stay.

Nice place to stay. Close to downtown area. Only thing I have to pick at is the smell in our room. It did not bother my husband but it smelled like spoiled milk. The air conditioner was adequate!

Friendly staff, hotel starting to show its age . Bistro staff were efficient but food not so good. Not the best courtyard I have stayed at

Nice place, super staff, lobby is great, wish the rooms were as open and spacious . Next trip we will stay at the Marina Double Tree across the street.

Room 302 had an awesome view of the Nuese River, all was as expected from a Marriott, price include. You do get what you pay for.

Like the place and location my family enjoyed the location

My experience and stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic. I would highly reconmend this hotel to family and friends.

This was a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Right in the heart of downtown, this hotel is steps from shops, restaurants, and nightlife. A+++

This hotel was wonderful! Totally remodeled and modern, very clean, and right on the water! You can walk easily to an excellent restaurant, Persimmons, too. My husband and I were really impressed and had a very relaxing experience. We would definitely stay here again :)

Great. Service and good. People. Calm. Atmosphere. Quiet. Great. Food. And. Fun

Staff was polite, professional and helpful. This was an goss exoerience and value for the services.

Easy to find and helpful staff. A nice comfortable stopover with unexpectedly beautiful water views to enjoy breakfast by in the morning.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. BUT ... The door handle was broken - had to shoulder barge to get open. The shower floor was black and grimy as was the grout in the bathroom floor. I did not fill out the survey until the morning I left, so in fairness, they did not have an opportunity to fix the problem before I left. Collegues had no complaints about their rooms.

Location, Location, Location My wife and I wanted a hotel that would allow us to park our car and walk to as many historic buildings and resteurants as possible at a reeasonable rate. The Comfert Suites Riverfront Park did just that.
