"The trip to MIA Reef was at the right time due to the weather at home. When we arrived on the ferry round trip $35.00 we walked to the resort, 15 minutes. When we arrived everyone was very nice. We were taken to our room 6008, looked just like the pictures on line. I noticed right away, the light switches were not wiped clean, the wood in the room needed to be painted or fixed where there was some damage, the lights on the wall by the bed on both sides had rust around the bottom of the shades and the bathroom was very small with the shower head that was loose. The balcony was nice and right on the ocean side. We went to the buffet and the food was cold. There was plenty of food to choose from. We found that getting shrimp and steak grilled to order was the best way to go and it was hot. The next night we ate at the Mexican restaurant and the food was good and not cold. The Grill restaurant the next night the food was good but it was all cold. We were told about the Italian restaurant but you had to pay extra for it. I asked some people at the bar about their experience and it was very mixed. We decided not to spend the extra money on an iffy meal. Breakfast was always good and we loved getting made to order omelets every morning. The bar staff, very good and entertaining always with a smile. The beach small, no problem getting a lounger. The fish come to you so bring bread to feed them. The resort a 3 the location a 5 loved the water. Glad we went but would not go back"
