This is a beautiful and clean property! You could go barefoot and the sand was amazing! The lobby was peaceful. Lots of places to lounge and be with nature, read a book or have conversations. The ocean was fantastic, they offer cocktail and food service on the beach. The food was fresh and delicious, lots of variety daily.

The regular people working at the hotel were great. The front desk “Manager” lied to me repeatedly over the whole week saying that refunding our extra adult room charge of $750 US dollars was still being processed through Expedia. As soon as we left the property they denying to refund the extra adult fee even though we prepaid for the hotel months ago and told them twice last month that the extra person would not be there. WHAT A SCAM. We’ll definitely stay away from HM hotels in the future.

We had a lovely 4 nights stay in the hotel. Attentive staff, peaceful location, very clean facilities. With all inclusive stay we didn’t go anywhere else and enjoyed high quality food and drinks in the hotel. You’ll be in love with Holbox after staying at HM Palapas!

We loved our stay here. The property is in a great location if you are looking to have a quiet relaxing stay on the island. It is walkable to town and many restaurants but not in the loud mix. The vibe is beachy bohemian. It is not a fancy place but very nice and relaxing. no need for fancy shoes, everything Is sand on the island. We visited other hotels while there and would return to this one or Aldea Kuka which is a bit more expensive. We did the "all inclusive " which isn't everything all the time but found that everything we enjoyed was included. We had lunch daily on the beach and it was delicious fresh guacamole and sea bass ceviche, tequila drinks, beer, Pina coladas all included. Breakfast buffet was good, they did have made to order omelettes and such if you are not a fan of buffet style eating like myself. Fresh fruits, juices, ect... Beto was our server on the beach and was awesome, kind friendly fast service. He anticipated what we would ask for and be ready to bring it. Dinners are mostly buffet style themed nights. But they didi offer made to order options. We went out to eat at different places some nights, and would recommend doing that even with all inclusive having breakfast and lunch included saved us plenty of money. Every meal we had on the island was great, seriously! The room was comfortable and we had a little private pool which we enjoyed. I would absolutely go back to this island & resort! Unfortunately it rained which was a muddy mess BUT had that not happened might of been one of the coolest places I’ve visited. Beach is beautiful, little pool outside your in (kinda cold not heated) easy walk to mini mart, food, beach bars & town. Its a really cute place and the staff were great. 5 nights seemed like a good amount of time before you run out of activities. But def worth the 3 hours of travel after the plane ride. If you’re a normal easy going person you will enjoy this immensely. Does get pretty quiet pretty early not a late party place the whole island in general. We were definitely told to shut up by another guest😂 but the staff were great. Even security was nice about us being loud till midnight one night. Food was great! 10/10 for sure.

We stayed at this hotel for five days, and in my opinion, it is excellent—the location, the service, the staff, the attention, the kindness, etc. Thanks to all the hotel staff; our stay at this place was amazing. We would return without a second thought, and I highly recommend it.

This was simply a very poor experience. The property looked nice on the outside, but the rooms were full of mosquitoes and in the evening we got cockroaches. The pools connected to the rooms where dirty and the outdated buffet makes it so far away from what you see from similar properties. My son got a small stativ schock from a bedside lamp. The lamp was just poorly fixed with electrical tape, when i talked with the receptionist she only said, “ok, I’ll have someone to take a look at it” For a very full Holbox HM where almost the only one with still availability, it’s easy to understand.

An Amazing Stay - Highly Recommended! We absolutely loved everything about our stay at this hotel! The service was exceptional—every staff member we interacted with was kind and attentive, making us feel so welcome. The food was incredible, with a variety of delicious options that exceeded our expectations. The hotel was spotless, and it’s clear they take cleanliness seriously, which we really appreciated. On top of that, the location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, which made our vacation even more relaxing and enjoyable. We truly have no complaints. This was one of the best experiences we’ve had, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay!

Great location but bad service

Good location at this good property but the service and the staff is totally lost. Our welcome was a total disaster. The word welcome was not even spoken. But could we please settle the whole bill at once. No introduction to the place was offered. Very few of the people working in the restaurant spoke enough English with a number of misunderstandings as a result. The rooms are nice and the rooms with a good balcony. The grounds were cleaned and swept everyday and the beach is very close. The best service we got were from the guys serving drinks on the beach with a smile every afternoon.

Very good hotel, friendly service but a bit pricey

I had an excellent stay. Location is great. Beach is beautiful. Room was large and bed was very comfortable. Only improvement point is that the ceramic tiles in the shower were not so clean. Room a bit pricey for its simplicity but it is Holbox.

The staff was so attentive. Miss Isis was amazing with arranging transportation for me to get there safely as I was traveling solo. The front desk, the staff at the restaurant, housekeeping, the delivery person, the servers and service at the beach, the massage provider. Everyone was so wonderful. The only thing was the business next to the property has a loud generator that runs most of the day. That is the only thing that bothered me. Will be back!

Amazing place

Amazing place to visit with the family, they are not completely on the beach, you need to walk a few meters and cross the street to be on the beach, they have a beach club, they bring you the service, food and drinks; the restaurant has a lot of variety, just if you arrive late, the food it's cold and they don't have everything, it's in the best beach for childrens and infants.

We enjoyed our stay. There’s room for improvement with the food, however. The bbq night in particular was not good. The meat and chicken were not cooked properly because they were placed in the open flame which caused the outside of the food to burn but the inside was still raw.

Everything was amazing! Such a calming environment all the servers were wonderful and attentive. So much delicious food in the all inclusive! It’s such a beautiful naturalistic paradise, and we are for sure going back!

A very nice hotel with a great staff. Everyone was extremely friendly. The breakfast buffett was delicious, there were different options every day. Lunch service at the beach was lovely. Good cleaning service. The bathrooms need a little update. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
