This couple is working very hard to upgrade this property and it shows. It was a very convenient and affordable stop. Has a real mom and pop feel to it!

The road noise was quite loud. The carpet wasn't clean but everything else was clean. There was an out door mat between the beds that made the floor look even worse. Out of a 6 day trip in the UP overall this was the cleanest room we stayed in

Cleanest room/bathroom I’ve ever seen!

Absolutely one of the cleanest rooms and bathrooms I’ve ever seen. And I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and motels. Owners were very accommodating as well. And they even had a reverse osmosis system in the bathroom sink. I’ve never seen that. So great! We’re definitely staying there again next year when we go back. Thank you River country motor lodge!

We absolutely loved our quick overnight stay! It was exactly the sort of accommodations we look for- very homey and relaxing. They offered a fire pit near the horseshoe pit and cornhole boards. The room was super clean and the owners were very welcoming! The property was well maintained with simple but appealing landscaping. Also dog-friendly which is hard to find sometimes! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Would definitely stay here again if we are traveling in the area. Very clean and well maintained property. Parking is convenient if you have a motorcycle. Owners are very nice and provide a bonfire area out back. Great experience.
