We loved staying at the Captain’s House! Location is fantastic, house was very comfortable and it was only a short drive to Lunenburg. The Bluenose sailed by and the sunrises were spectacular!!!

The location is absolutely spectacular. The house is beautiful and the decor was welcoming and warm. We had everything we needed for our stay and if we could have, we would have stayed longer. We had a wonderful week stay at the Captain's House! Check-in was seamless, the home exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was exactly what we were looking for, with a beach on our doorstep, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay a short drive away, and views of porpoises and seals swimming in the bay. Lots of memories made during our stay, we highly recommend Captain's House!

My family and I had a wonderful atay at Captain's House. The view of the bay right outside of the front of house was spectacular!! One morning we even saw a couple of whales breaching out there. Its a roomy place that held the 5 of us easily and a couple that came to visit us one day.Rachel was easy to deal with and responded to questions in a timely maner.I would definitely stay here again and recommend Captain's House to anyone coming to the area.

Perfection

If you are even considering booking this rental, just do it. When we walked in to this place, we were greeted with amazing views of the water, exceptional decor and a very clean home. It was fully stocked with everything you could need. It is conveniently located near Lunenburg. It was quiet, calm and peaceful. Our host was exceptionally responsive. This 150 year home has been spectacularly updated, while maintaining all of its original charm. The water is conveniently located right across a very low traffic road. We loved every second we spent here and did not want to leave! It accommodated our family of 5 perfectly.
Full of charm. Just a dream.

This home was exactly what we were looking for: comfortable, clean, and incredibly well-located. It offered easy access to all the sights we wanted to explore in the Lunenburg area. We especially loved waking up to the sound of waves gently lapping the shore and watching the sunrise over the water. The house was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, and it felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We’d love to return on our next visit!

We loved everything about the Captain’s House!!! The ambiance of the home made landlubbers from southern Ontario feel like we were Maritimers! Spacious, clean, welcoming. We had a campfire outdoors at the fire pit and indoors in the fireplace! The beach access is across the street. 15 minutes to Lunenburg, 4 minutes to Ovens Park (worth the time for the views), 5 minutes to the Rose Bay General Store and Bistro. We recommend the Chai Latte and every cookie. Highly recommended for a quiet location very close to Lunenburg.

Home away from home!
