Great Stay!

Staff was very friendly. Loved the lobby vibe. We ate at the onsite restaurant and the food was great! We loved that we could explore the area right from the hotel.

This is a glorified motel room, clean and modern, but lacking in amenities given the price. While there was a mini-fridge and electric kettle, there was no microwave. There were no glasses, only single use paper coffee cups. The bathroom was woefully small, with no shelving and very limited counter space for toiletries. Bring "cubes" for your clothing as there is no drawer space in the room, only shelving. There was bench seating in the room, but no table of any sort (or chairs). The good: Great lighting in the room and in the bathroom and nice pillows if you like a firmer pillow. The bad: Soft bed, paper thin walls, a heating and a/c unit that was impossible to operate/change, a TV set to the wrong date and because of this, lacking the program guide (a nit). At between $200 to almost $500 per night and given its classification as an "Upscale hotel", we expected more.

We tried to check-in at 4:05pm, They said the room wasn’t ready & probably wouldn’t be ready for another 1.5-2 hours. They said they’d call/text us when it was ready (they didn’t). When we finally got in the room, it had a dirty shower with crud on the shower wall and mold on the shower curtain, cobwebs in the window. We immediately asked for a new shower curtain, but they had no spare shower curtains & they said they would get maintenance to address it but they had already left for the day. We finally got a replacement shower curtain on the last night of our 4 night stay, but they just dropped it off. I had to take down the moldy one & put the clean one up myself. The sofa in the room had multiple mystery stains so we never put anything on it or sat on it. Housekeeping was very inconsistent. They made the bed 2 of the days we stayed, left some fresh towels 1 day (but not any wash cloths - they were out), and they took the trash out 1 day. One morning, they had coffee out in the lobby, but I had to go to the other location down the street for the “complimentary grab & go breakfast”. It was just yogurt & muffins, so don’t bother with that if you do have the misfortune to stay here. We also heard them tell another group of guests they were running low on room keys & several of the rooms have broken AC with the temporary window units visible in the windows. A lot of noise from other rooms & the road. I would absolutely discourage anyone from staying here.

Most things were fine, but our A/C continually stopped working. We gave up on calling them to reset it after the 2nd time and just rolled with it. The fridge also wouldn’t get cold.

Great staff, nice dining area with fireplace, seating on patio with fire pit. Comfortable beds, very clean. Saw elk across the street & behind the hotel. Easy 1/2 mile into town. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. So Close to the Riverwalk, Stanley Hotel, and RMNP. Huge cozy room. Clean and friendly. Short staffed, so got a late check in. My room wasn’t ready and it was 4:00 pm. That was my only complaint. Got in about 30 min later. They made me a cup of tea while I waited. Which was nice. All in all, a very stay.

Tried to check in & told they were overbooked

After receiving multiple messages from the hotel via text and email leading up to our stay, I was shocked to show up to check in and learn the hotel had been overbooked and we couldn't stay at our reservation. While I'm really grateful that they took the time to transfer our booking to a neighboring property, I'm confused why no one took the time to let us know before we showed up, especially after we did the online check-in that morning. I don't know if the miscommunication on the overbook was the property's fault or Hotels.com's fault, but definitely wasn't how you want to start a stay anywhere.

Never in my life been to a hotel with such thin walls - SO LOUD all night. Restaurant was not good and gave us very cold food. Service was so poor - the front desk girl abandoned her post for about an hour in the midst of check-in time and the guys at the bar right by the check-in didn’t step in to help patrons. Awful! Would never come here again.

The hotel was clean and close to the main town. The only issue we had was that the heat wasn’t working, and I complained twice, but it wasn’t fixed. The hotel manager never responded to us in any way.

The slide open windows did not lock in our room and the heat did not work, despite the temps being in the 40s. Completely unsafe and not ok to rent out. We checked out when we reported the lack of locks and were told there was nothing they could do. Still waiting on our refund.

Location was fine, room was nice enough but no microwave, door did not bolt lock unless you pulled it with force to lock, toliet paper holder was pulled almost out of the wall. breakfast was not at this location but at it's affilated old location which was inconvient.

Decent place for a short stay

This is a great location for getting to everything around Estes Park, which is essentially what you are paying for. Beyond that, it is nothing special. Glad I brought my own pillow, as theirs are much firmer than other hotels. Would be nice to have a couple of softer ones.
