Room and bathroom excellent, clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast tasted haggis for first time! Excellent location with nearby bus stop with frequent buses into Edinburgh city centre. Also walking distance to Brittania Yacht and local marina with nice places to eat. Safe secure parking. Host very friendly, would come back again. 100% recommend.

We stayed at this establishment during the Edinburgh Marathon. Everything was perfect. Our hosts were very kind with us. Such a lovely place to stay for a weekend stay in the city. The daily breakfast was a huge plus and was made to your liking. The room was nice and quaint with a comfortable bed. Highly recommend when in the city even if a little off the path from the touristy areas

The staff at the hotel are great, friendly, welcoming and informative about local matters. The room was OK but very dated and in need of decoration and a few minor repairs. Some additional cleaning and dusting of less obvious surfaces, such as exposed pipes in bathroom, skirting boards, radiators etc is needed to give the feel of attention to detail. Everything was functional but generally tired. Centre of Edinburgh is a 20min bus journey that runs till late and Leith is 15/20 min walk.

David and staff are outstanding hosts! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast tasty and offers good choice. We walked to downtown along a quiet path next to a creek, and found great restaurants 20 minutes away. We highly recommend A Haven!
