The hotel is cute, the location is great. I liked being in a quieter village than Furnace Creek, and the proximity to the Dunes and Mosaic Canyon was great. Staff was very nice.
I will admit that I was confused by the strict “no cooking” rule in the rooms … as, what is a road trip without a cup of noodles or haphazard hotel room meal. I made it work by eating protein bars, but this was inconvenient (as I have an odd diet and can’t just eat out, easily). Having the fridge was very helpful though, and the ice machine was always plentiful for keeping water below boiling during the drives / hikes in the park.
Overall, I’d def recommend it.
