Staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s a viewing deck on the 4th floor that is great for viewing the stars at night. The only draw back was that our room had a connecting door to the adjoining room and it is thin. The neighbors had to bang on the door and ask us to turn the volume of the TV down….we’re good neighbors and kindly obliged.

The location can’t be beat as it is one of only a few options within the park. This uniqueness and the property’s history allow charging a little more than usual for a nights stay. The check-in process is really confusing. The driveway leads up to a 2nd floor staircase, but check-in is on the 3rd floor. Then you are uncertain if you can drive through the car tunnel to exit, or if you must turn around. Knowing about the “people” tunnel beforehand or with some signage would be helpful. Also wish the resort fee was optional. We were there to see the national park and spent no time at the resort other than to sleep and eat one meal.

The resort is wonderful, pool is fantastic, the restaurant food and service excellent.We stayed in a Casita. The room was very nice. Perhaps if we stayed more then one night I might have a different view. I would choose a standard hotel room. The Casita requires a golf cart to go back and forth from the hotels amenities. This was a problem at check out. We did the check out via text. We needed help with luggage or if we could just take the cart and leave it somewhere in the parking lot? there wasn't must direction to this, so I dialled 0 and the person said she would send some in a cart to take us and luggage to the car. 30 minutes latter I saw a front dest button on the phone and reached someone else. He said he did not have our request for help on his record and he already had someone waiting. I explained that I call their operator and she told me she was sending someone, so I guess she she forgot???. 20 minutes later someone showed up and was very helpful. When we check in the front desk person said "you will need help with the luggage because we needed to be taken to the room by kart. I assumed that check would be the same.
