Stairs down the bank to the river with a small landing to enjoy the river up close and personal.

Great location to stay when visiting the Redwoods. 15 to 20 minutes to parks, groceries and restaurants. Backyard is the highlight of this property. Stairs down to the river with a sitting area was great for morning coffee. House is older, but it's charm outweighs that.

The River House is a great place to stay. The Smith River is beautiful and peaceful, makes it serene. Crescent City, the ocean and redwoods are close by and lots of places to explore. This is a great home highlighting beautiful Smith River and redwood tree views. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family to spread out. We especially loved all the extra accommodations within the home- from extra blankets, pillows and towels to unexpected additional cooking supplies, spices, movies, and games. Being an older home, there are a few quirks, but the owners have a detailed welcome book that outlines this, it also includes great tips for things to do and see in the area. We enjoyed our stay!
