I would not recommend this place! Service was absolutely terrible. Could not get a drink in the bar. Sat for over an hour waiting to get menus for food. So the onsite bar and restaurant are a waste. The sheets had blood on them and the bathroom also had blood. Probably the worst place I have ever been. Will not go back!

Do not recommend. Staff member did not even say hello… I initiated by saying I need to check in gave my last name. He handed me the room key and said there’s the stairs that was the extent of the conversation. The hand rail was not full secure. The hotel has an odor. I went up to my room to assess and decided not to stay. Definitely a rundown old hotel.

This property is very dated, and run down. Our room was clean for the most part. The hotel could be very charming, but needs some work. Cooke City did not have much to offer in the way of dining or entertainment, but access into the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park was great.

This place needs a lot of TLC. The restaurant was just eh and understaffed. The room had mold on the walls next to the shower and several holes that looked like someone attempted to do patch work. For the price and just needing a place to lay my head after being in the park all day it did its job.

If there is no place else to stay, sleep in your car. The staff is non responsive and could care less about your stay. I think there was a mouse/rat in the ceiling, so that made for an uncomfortable sleep.

If you are arriving after 8 pm you may have to wait 30 or more minutes to get you key. The owners live on the third floor, we had to go to their apt and knock on the door. The phone in the reception rings to the reception—not ideal.

Noise from the heating prevented any sleep. Doors almost not possible to lock. Dirty bathroom and windows, curtains and bed sheet smelled of old cigarette smoke. Floor unstable/not straight. Seems entire building needs full renovation.

Only good thing was room was clean. Needed pin to get coffee. Had to go to front desk to ask for ice and received half a small bucket. Difficult to communicate with staff. Thin walls could hear regular talk in adjacent room. Second floor guests could be heard simply walking above. Towels so thin could see through them. Can’t believe Expedia would even represent the dump. Never use Expedia again. Never stay at the dump again. Worst I have ever stayed in.
